Let’s just hope that John Still isn’t given another role at the club - he “retired from management” but I don’t want him anywhere near the club. We need fresh ideas not an old school “do it early!” bore.

Great result today at a ground where we always seem to lose. Gives us a boost ahead of the Borehamwood return where we need to restore some local pride.

If we were to win on Tuesday, we would go into our cup tie against Sheff Utd reserves & youth with a little confidence...

A new low this season for Maidenhead today as we were well beaten by Braintree, who should have scored more. A fan allegedly (I didn't see it) confronted Devonshire at the end of the game, and the fans booed the team off, all of which would have been completely unthinkable a couple of months ago.

Right now we are the worst team in the division. Braintree are better than us right now - that was clear today - and we will finish below them if Devonshire remains and refuses to change tactics. Playing two defenders in midfield in a 442 makes putting any kind of attack together difficult, as well as the complete lack of quality out wide.

While we do need a couple of additions the squad is made to look worse by Devonshire's refusal to recall Shamsi who is bossing it out on loan, and his refusal to play Reece Cole, a genuine playmaker who scored a free kick on his debut and has barely been seen since - can't see Brentford allowing his loan to be extended.

Right now we're a bottom half NL South team and need to decide whether loyalty to Devonshire matters more than staying in the division.

That was a complete coupon buster for me. I had in-form Dagenham beating no manager Barnet for sure.

0-0 probably about right at the Crabble, apart from Dover missing a penalty and having a header saved right after, they didn't create much despite getting into one or two good positions.

We created a few chances of our own and dominated the final 30mins, we so very nearly nicked it when Dale Gormans shot hit the post.

Both teams looked jaded, the game itself was a poor one.

We need Bonne and Koroma playing together, despite that Koroma still was our main threat.

Dover much improved since August, cannot see them going down based on today. Very resiliant.

Our fans are now having a meltdown because we've had 4 points in the last 4. Whilst we do need 2-3 new players, every team has a wobble.

Fylde now in form and third!

I think we would have beaten them in a normal situation. Unfortunately, we were missing several key faces and it was a return for the awful players who we signed on a budget in the summer.

Thankfully, it seems Munns and McQueen both have sickness bugs rather than injuries so may both be available for the Orient game. Hopefully Balanta has the legs to play as he looked dead on his feet at the end today.

I think Orient will beat us mind you on NYD, we never win there and we look like we just need 3-4 recovery days rather than the 2 that this turnaround allows.

We were jaded ourselves today, been missing two of our wingers these past two games as well and had to move a few players around position wise and had a few minor injuries as well, ruling another one or two out today.

As you say, 3-4 days to recover is usually whats needed to get over knocks, not 2 days.

Thats the one thing about this time of year, the winter fixtures all come at once and teams form goes very up and down as opposed to consistent. I think the only clubs to win all their games so far in all the leagues during this period are Liverpool and Carlisle - Says it all.

Good win for us yesterday has put us right in the mix. Need to beat the in form barrow next though. Great game to watch against salford and there must be plenty of clubs looking at Gaffney.

Leyton orient slipping up
Salford slipping up
Wrexham in form

The league is up for grabs. Still waiting for Solihull to start slipping up as they looked poor when we played them. Keep hanging in there though. 20 goals for Rowe. God knows where we'd be without him. Good job he never gets injured

Harrogate's bubble burst? Perhaps not too much of a surprise because you can't have a defensive record like that and expect to stay in and around it.

Dover seem to have suddenly motored and where the hell have Fylde appeared from?!

Fylde have been consistent all season why the surprise, they rarely lose and the machine that is Rowe is scoring for fun.

They've been top 4 or 5 all season. They are better now because they've massively tightened up their defence. They were like Keegan's Newcastle last season.

That's some amazing form you've got going.
Yeah there’s a real buzz around the place at the minute, it’s the most togetherness I’ve known in a whole squad of ours have since that 14/15 season when Magnay was here, always chucking their bodies on the line to try and win at all costs and players not in the team just getting on with it never moaning just trying to fight their way back in. These are the stats from yesterday where we had 6 first teamers out injured and only had 1 fit centre back and he got sent off after 51 mins so we played last 40 mins with a 17 year old youth teamer. Unreal effort from every one of them to keep Exeter out:

A lot has been said re Orients missing players, but three Dover players failed fitness tests before the game , meaning players out of position, likely for both sides. although most DAFC would have taken the draw before kick, the feeling of disappoint at the final whistle for not taking the three points but in hindsight a draw seems a fair result............... and on the experience of this game I would expect that this fixture will be played out next season as well

For anyone that hasn't seen it yet, this is Agustien's wonder strike yesterday. Best goal I can recall seeing at Holker Street.

It's been great to witness a guy enjoying his football so much. He's earned it.

Living the dream if he's around for a few more months but there must be a queue of league clubs interested. Hopefully they might only offer 6 months and he thinks "What the f*ck...."

I kinda disagree, for a Christmas game it's the normal situation to be missing players and a team to be jaded. We were able to make a couple of changes which didn't weaken the side and having Akinola available for the first time gave us a few extra options. I'm hoping we can do the same tomorrow and get revenge against Boreham Wood.

The way this season is going we are going to need the extra players to deal with the 4 games in hand we will have. After tomorrow we don't play a league game for nearly three weeks.

It's hard to understand how he was contracted to Nuneaton before us, and how he ended up at Barrow. His ability is probably Championship level, though he tires a lot towards the end of games.

Seems like he's keen to sign on for the rest of the season, unless someone (Salford) comes in with silly money.

I just meant that on a normal week, I think we would have had a good chance of beating you given our recent form and that we have also beaten Orient, Fylde and Harrogate at home this season. As soon as I saw our teamsheet though, I knew it was going to be a struggle. We'll both finish mid table anyway so it's pretty irrelevant. :)

A surprising statement, considering Matty Brown's wonderful goal up there the other week.

At least your massive club will win something this season!
