This Allassani guy looks good. We still look shit defensively.

Surely that isn't THE Marc-Antoine Fortune coming on for Chesterfield? He's ancient!

I know I sound like a broken record, but he's genuinely the worst pro footballer I've ever seen who has made an actual long term career from the game. I can't believe he's starting.

Well, we've lost. First defeat of the season, normally I'd be like okay, but given how Salford are looking (and Harrogate/ Wrexham), I think every point matters.

Woeful second half Pools performance, not that the first was much better, how Aldershot never won it is anyone’s guess.

Well, that was pish. Like last season when we were a real fancy-dan ex-League side and got shithoused by every tinpotter in Christendom. Perhaps a 10th game unchanged in a row was a step too far, but the truth is that Sutton deserved it by defending so impeccably.

Barrow 2-up they aren’t very good, took them 70mins to score
What's going on at Dover this year?

All of Kinnear signing skills have failed. We still train evenings & probably still pay part time wages whilst Kinnear works in the day. Players in this league want to be seen as fulltime pros.

That long throw from Muggleton is mental. I've never seen one this long before...any throw in our half is like a bloody corner.

It seems the plan is either hoof it to Denton or throw that missile at him.

Rule no.1 of this division is that you never give tinpotters any credit, even if they deserve it.

Please revisit.

First half hour, we could and probably should have been 4 or 5 up. Allassani ran the show.

Defensive frailties still showed though, which is concerning going into games against Harrogate, Solihull and Salford.

Happy with the win, but need to step it up next week.

A disappointing display from ourselves today, didn't deserve to lose the game, but our young full back Myles Judd made a bad mistake early in the second half and we was punished.

Sutton were a bit too stubborn in the end for us, I don't think they won a single corner and spent most of the game defending in numbers which was too much for us in the end. We came on strong for the final fifteen minutes but ultimately it wasn't to be for us today.

Think that was the same team for ten games in a row for us, which ultimately today caught up with us a little bit, too many lethargic performances from a few players - More mentally than physically.

Can't grumble too much as I would've taken the start we've had 8 weeks ago.

Having said that, I've won £325 betting on Sutton and Salford to win in my accy. So reverse psycology went the other way this week for me...............Would've preferred to have stayed unbeaten, but such is life innit.

I am fuming with Peter Taylor. You’ve been shit lately so we decided to match up with a 3-5-2 of our own. Our defensive shape has been our one strength this season and we broke it apart. I have no idea why we didn’t go with our usual 4-3-3 since it would have exploited space out wide. Disgusting management.

Alaanasi was superb for you and you should have scored 8.

If we play 3-5-2 next week, I’ll be firmly Taylor out!

It will be on your short pitch!! Agreed that it is mental though, all he's good for!

don't know if there is any truth in it or not - but there's a message on the Barrow forum saying he's heard from a reliable source that the Dover manager has been sacked after today's game?

I didn't think you was terrible, but definitely not good enough.

Allassani could have had 5 of his own. He was everywhere. I just hope we have the same intensity next week. Our first goal was superb in terms of its not something we usually do. Short corner, lay off and then 3 or 4 or them queuing up at the back. Normally we just hit it and it doesn't beat the first man.

Impressed with us going forward for the first time since we beat Aldershot. Just need to sort it out defensively as that's where we're most lacking.

Surely The Brotherhood and NL stalwarts should be testing Salford a bit more rather than seemingly let them stroll to the title?
