Who is everyone saying then?

Murphy or Tubbs for Forest Green?
Ross Hannah for Barrow?
Mandron for Eastleigh?
Cook or Norwood for Tranmere?
Rendell for aldershot?

Decent set of strikers in the league next season.

I hope its Rendell obviously. Maybe it could be B.Williams at Torquay ?

Probably someone at Total F GReen Football to be fair as they play like Brazil apparently...

Wouldn't surprise me to see former Tranmere players Danny Johnson and Johnny Margetts amongst the goals this season.

Hard to tell with us as everyone is new.

Assombalonga is probably the best shout.

I may have a quid on Assombalonga. Otherwise, Rhys Murphy should tear up this league.

I'll probably have a few quid on Kane Richards for us at probable massive odds.

Rapidly improving and is the in-house replacement for Hannah this season.

Jordan White would have definitely had a chance, but he's going to miss the first 2 months of the season with a "Bloodstream problem", which is worrying for him.

Other than that, there are a lot of strikers I'm not quite convinced with, with Forest Green's, Margetts who only seems to score in pre-season and I'm not sure Andy Cook is that good either. I'd say if Rendell can get back to his form before he got injured, it will be him.

If he gets regular games and keeps his place during the lean spells, he'll easily get 25+. He just somehow scores goals, despite not being a natural finisher, and doesn't rely on good service that much as most the goals are him bursting through.

Can see Hannah scoring a few, but can't look beyond the FGR forwards really.

Id be surprised if any of our forwards even reach double figures.

If Rendell stays fit it will be interesting to see how many goals he gets. Given the fact that he NEVER misses penalties I would say 15+.

Andy Cook would be my bet.

He didn't get much game time at Tranmere though, according to wiki he made 10 appearances scoring twice, then at Stockport 6 appearances 4 goals, Altrincham 6 appearances 2 goals, Southport 3 appearances 2 goals.

Margetts won't be as good as some overexcited Lincoln fans expect, but I don't think he'll be as poor as some on here expect either - probably somewhere around 15 goals.

Unfortunately you'd probably pick Matt Tubbs if he's the least bit interested.

One of Murphy and Tubbs will win the golden boot, Murphy would be my pick, but both are capable of tearing this league apart. Our other attackers are pretty decent too.

Murphy - 30-35 goals
Tubbs - 25- 30 goals
Doidge - 15-20 goals
Moore - 15 -20 goals
Noble 10 - 15 goals.
KMB 10 - 15 goals
Frear 5-10 goals

Those 7 could easily get us between 110-145 goals imo, so we should do alright I reckon.

Having seen Murphy and Doidge, I can't see either being as prolific as you hope. Murphy 20 tops, Doidge more like 10.

Murphy got 9 in 15 in League 2 last season for a poor side, so in a top side in a weaker league he'll score a hatful if he maintains that sort of form. Doidge got 8 in 35 for the bottom side in league 2, so again in a lower division playing for a side that will create hundreds of chances over the season he should score a fair few more.

Tubbs was top scorer in league 2 14-15, he's now fully fit unlike last season and will be more motivated as he has several good ex- Salisbury mates at the club who he wont want to let down. Last time he played a full season at this level he got 37 in 41 for Crawley.

We're looking pretty damn lethal if it all clicks.

Can I make a prediction and suggest they won't?
Where do you envisage all these forwards picking up enough games to get that many? You playing five up front?

One of them will get a good tally, but they are clearly the ramblings of a loon.

At least 5 of those will start most weeks, KMB and Frear are wingers whilst Noble is an attacking midfielder.

Our 4 strikers will all get good game time according to MC, we'll probably do what we used to do under Jim Harvey and change our strikers during the second half of most games.

I expect Murphy and Tubbs to be the first choice pairing which is why I've predicted them to get more, but Doidge and Moore have quality and will get their fair share of game time.

They'll only get "serious" game time if one or both of your first choice strikers aren't scoring, no matter what your manager says.

Maybe. But even if they only get around 10 each over the season, that would still mean our 4 strikers will be getting around 80 between them, as if Murphy and Tubbs are doing well enough to keep them out they'll be getting 25-30 apiece. Add at least another 20-30 from midfield/defence and I honestly can't see us scoring less then 100 goals minimum, but could easily be a lot more then that.
