Thought I'd get this started up again in preparation for the new season.

djs, are you willing to continue this?

I'll start with a few from Boston
Played at Boston Town, think the crowd was about 350 in midweek
FL, but Peterborough took 275 out of 920
Lincoln had 247 out of 701 in midweek
Spalding game was not segregated, there were a handful in front out us and a few others dotted about in a crowd of 428
Grimsby took 208 out of 596 in midweek
Then most recently we were at Stamford. Crowd of 329, seemed to be about 100 of us.

Away followings should be slightly up in Conf North this year if you compare teams coming into the league to those leaving it. Think as a league, it averaged about 100 last year. Our own away support got inflated by a late surge of good turnouts to about 150 whilst visitors to Boston was about 80 on average. We've also got the better supported clubs at home on Saturdays which should help somewhat
Lincoln will be hit with no 1,700 turnout Grimsby- perhaps up to 10k from that (excluding police costs!). York won't stem that gap and Ferriby/Solihull certainly won't!

Again, I'll keep tabs on the North, but as vast majority of games aren't segregated, it'll be mostly calculated guesswork/opinions from those at games/pics/videos
AFAIK, only grounds to segregate fully next year are Fylde (new ground), Halifax, Boston, Stockport, Kiddy(???)... even Telford don't segregate every game now
FCUM and Stockport will be segregated at most grounds

Never really sure what the point in this thread is. It just ends up in everyone slating Forest Green's following and then DSL locks it. Repeat until 2017-18 thread is created.

FCUM first up at Chorley on August 6, this game is not segregated and a very good crowd is expected. Chorley don't normally segregate, not even Stockport, the exception being Chester.

I'll try and do the same for the South but it will be even tougher to get accurate figures as the only likely games to be segregated will be both matches between Hemel and St. Albans plus Hemel segregating us if they're feeling hospitable once more. Even then Hemel don't announce the number of away supporters.

League gates will be down with Maidstone going up and the clubs coming up and down not having anywhere near their following.

Chelmsford, Dartford, Ebbsfleet and ourselves will be the only clubs in the league to average over 100 throughout the season.

Looking forward to another good season on the road. I really enjoyed last year, but it won't be the same without a Kidderminster trip. York is a fair substitute, if only for the city itself.

Almost all of our away games last season were segregated.

We've only been given 600 tickets for FCUM away on Friday 12th August. Expect every single one to sell.

I don't think all our games will be segregated this season, but many will be. Shall attempt to find numbers! Last I heard York had sold 260ish for the opener at our place so far.

What were they given, doesn't your only hold 2,800 or something- less if they stick segregation in

They were given 480 or something close to it. Ground capacity is just over 3,000 for now.

Provided everything goes to plan, it'll be 4,200. Plenty of room for a thousand plus of yours :)

That heavily depends on how our season goes!
Same! We could be fighting the drop while you play to go up. Of course if that happens, even 4,200 may not be enough.

The interesting one for us this season may well be Southport. Last season it was on a Tuesday night. We sold out our allocation of 1400. Southport then decided to have a cash turnstile for visiting fans, opened an extra section of terracing and an estimated further 400 Tranmere fans paid on the night. The total attendance was around 2800, giving Southport their biggest home attendance for a league game for over 30 years. This season the game is the Saturday of the August Bank Holiday weekend and if we have a good start to the season the demand for tickets will be far greater than last year. It will be interesting to see if Southport decide to cash in.

It wouldn't surprise me if we gave you half of the main stand and the popular side in addition to the away terrace. There is potential to segregate the ground like this, and it would leave us with space for around 1700 of our own fans. It wouldn't surprise me if Merseyside Police put their oar in though, with them having to also deal with Everton v Stoke and the Liverpool International Music Festival, as well as everything else going on over the Bank Holiday.

If nobody else wants to take this on, then I don't mind collating the figures and posting tables every so often. But I am not as au fait (oooooh, posh eh?) with the League as I used to be, so will be relying on people posting the figures from their teams on a regular basis. I'm guessing that there will be even more teams not segregating and/or not publishing than in the last few seasons. Having been to Solihull last week, I'm not sure how they are planning to segregate when the big teams come to town.

What was the lowest average away attendance last year in this divison?

Have a feeling NFU might beat it by a wide margin

It is.
If you dig out last seasons thread you'll see that they rarely took more than a couple of dozen anywhere. And when you consider the number of trips way down south and west, plus midweek games you can see why.
As you say, they should take a few to York, but that's about it.

Gateshead have large distances to travel to be fair, they always bring a good amount to ours with that being considered though.

Looking good for your age by the way MC..

I'll be suprised if Ferriby average over 15-20 this season.

Baring Lincoln, York and Guiseley most will see less than 10. I can imagine many lower than london might see between 0-5

Embarrassing yourself a bit there Boss, only 15 in it. And we were in the top half.

Wont be long before our home and away crowds dwarf yours.
