That's Witton's problem, they tried to get rid of Vics and as it turns out there wasn't a notice of eviction written into the groundshare agreement hahahahahaha Numpties

And therein lies exactly Vics problem: you're all so f*cking unpleasant.

The ground share agreement was clearly understood by both sides to be for 3 seasons, reviewable at the end of each season by either party. Witton exercised the right everybody knew they had but it turns out the agreement wasn't well drafted and you've got them on a technicality. Lawyers and Vics fans, clearly a match made in heaven.

Just been reading up about Vics that is some fall over the last eight years. Not being funny Inquisitor, but how do they keep going on crowds of no more than 200? Wage bill must be about £1500 a week at this level and renting a ground can't be cheap £5000 a season at a guess? I assume they must have a few companies sponsoring them, although I can't see any shirt sponsor or get a decent share of the bar profits.

Vic's is the club I grew up with, my dad and grandad were Vics fans, it runs in the family and no matter how hard it gets I can't let go, I stay out of the off pitch politics and just support my club.
Read somewhere that we pay Witton £1350 per match but the new ground deal has raised the rent.
We don't get anything from Witton's bar but our volunteers do run a cafe on match days. Not had a shirt sponsor for a few years now but we must have other sponsors and we also have a Gold line lottery arrangement with Bolton Wanderers FC. We are also going to do bucket collections at home matches to help Witton improve our pitch.

Wow!! Fair enough you just want to watch your football each week, but aren't you even a tiny bit curious about how you balance the books each week? I'm sure the bucket collections will help, but it's going to need fans to dig deep I reckon.

That is shocking! I bet you're glad that he no longer has any connections with the club anymore, that might have been awkward.

That doesn't sound good either, but isn't that old news
I thought that but been told it's a different charge.

Went to Vics match against Spennymoor yesterday, a cracking win for Vics against fellow promotion hopefuls, with Vics form like that we should coast the playoffs and win promotion, which will make a change from relegation. We had our end of season presentation after full time, was going to go but Jim Rushe was in the bar and I got cold feet. Didn't want to cause any problems or cause trouble, just felt very uncomfortable, so I left.
