The sun is blinding me but it looked a absolute banker red. My only complaint is he didn’t let us play a free-kick 30 seconds later.

If it was sixty minutes in rather than six it’d be a red every single time, but that shouldn’t really matter.

Bloody hell.

The transformation in the last couple of weeks has been truly spectacular.

Felt a lot more nervy than it actually was, better team pretty much the whole way through. Second to kill it off would’ve been good for my nerves, to the fucking pub.

Awesome result against a side that should go up automatically. Bad day at the office for Stags and apart from the opening 10 and 45-60 mins Notts dominated. Not bad for a side who were awful 3 weeks ago.
Huge result and on to Newport at the lane on Tuesday.
Could be out of the bottom 2 then, remarkable!

Late play off push from Notts.

We’ll let someone else have a go this season , it’s only fair

The beer in the pub right now taste so sweet . Huge result , thoroughly deserved win . To get 7 points from last 9 is a stunning effort thanks almost entirely to an almost magical January Transfer Window .

Piss poor from some of the Stags danger men ( and there were plenty of them on the pitch ) , no need to mention names but some talented players went missing and others made no impact no matter how hard they tried . Finally we show up to one these Nottinghamshire derbies , and about time too

Hope Spanishstag is ok

Looked a red to me.

Got to say that was absolutely bloody hopeless from Mansfield, what an abject showing that was. As we mentioned county was always going to be challenging, and they more than made up for their limitations by the effort and commitment they made - which was totally lacking from us.

CJ walker and grant all had a personal duel on who would be worse, all 3 were shocking.

We had to lose to county at some stage but to do so in such a French army style was really disappointing. They looked more than good enough to stop up and then some.

We’re in some real bother here. We won’t go up playing like that

Someone (Son of Cod?) mentioned the Chesterfield vs Notts game at the back end of last season and Mansfield’s performance was very reminiscent of a lot of ours away from home in that run in.

Delighted you’ve defeated those fraudulent nobodies on their annual big day out to Nottingham

It makes a change for you not us to not turn up.
We generally save our worst performances for the Notts derby. Still expect you to go up so might be a while for another one.

You were better from start to finish mate, no arguments there. Least you know you’ll stay up playing like that

Don’t let Bargain Stag Abroad hear that he’s been waiting to dance in the sand all season. Still early days, still bottom but we should fear nobody now.

The word continually coming out of the Mansfield camp this afternoon is “scared”

Never thought Stags would be shit scared on their Big Day Out especially as they have had so much success.

As far as I can tell we need 20 points from 42.
We need midtable form to achieve that.
Newport then Tranmere (a) then sides in mid table. If we can pick up points on Tuesday then Saturday is a gimme. I don't think NA thought we'd have 7 from 9 in the last 3 so hopefully ahead of schedule.

Oh and I have never had a Stags fan call me mate, good on ya!

I want to see us against Newport before really judging it, but if we approach games like that with the same intensity we have the last three then we’ll be fine.

The biggest issue is after the lords mayor show on Tuesday. Genuinely would take a point against a good Newport size to keep this very impressive little run going.

Adam has been a changed man on this thread. I miss the old Adamstag lol

You shouldn’t spout homophobic insults and nonsense on a forum such as this . Embarrassing posts on a weekly basis . He needs a little quiet time in the corner before he comes back to try and ruin our match threads without dropping to those depths

The defeat was obviously a surprise and I agree the nature of it is bewildering . Nobody would of imagined a game where Mansfield don’t have a single shot on target in 94 mins .

Also where was the stylish attacking play ? The flowing football ? Pass pass pass and lots of possession ?
