9th v 8th at London Road on Saturday with both teams having aspirations of making the P/O at the end of the season.

Peterborough lost 2-0 away to Walsall while Dale played out to an entertaining 3-3 draw at home to Charlton.

We're pants. Our home form is pants. I think we'll get a tonking off Southend tonight and I don't hold out much hope of getting much from Rochdale. We won 3-2 there on the first day of the season thanks to their goalkeeper making a bit of a boo boo. Who knows? We're incosistent at best.

Just lost to Southend so that's the most recent result before this game. Oh and that's it season over no playoffs, I suspect Dmac will sell up the club at the end of the season as hes eluded to already.

This will be a loss too.

Didn't go because of work but we sound like a pub team. I daresay free scoring Rochdale with bag a hatful. We're embarrassing.

No match thread but I just got back from tonight's game tbh we completely out played posh from the start. Credit to them how they were only 3 points outside the play offs before tonight I know they have injuries but expected more than that. When Paul Taylor came on he looked a threat a guess he could maybe start? Nichols finish was also top class and did more than the overweight black lad who started don't even know who he was????

We're like a pub team. MacAnthony put McCann in charge in the summer who I imagine is on peanuts and when you pay peanuts you get monkeys. I didn't go Tuesday night due to work commitments but the people I go with reckons it was pub football, should've been 8-0 down at half time and losing 9-4 would have been a fair result.

Our next games are against Rochdale, Millwall, Bradford and Oxford. I predict that we will get 0 points and next years season ticket sales will be abysmal.

Hows Granty doing? Saw he ballsed up Saturday with Walsall's second but expected him to stop the goals you'd starting conceding (except against us!)

Good player. Part of the solution to a large problem. The way he's playing he will always pick up yellows but he adds a certain amount of steel to the side. Shame nearly all the rest are pants.

Wow. 3 red cards given in a match that wasn't even dirty. If the other Dale fans from this forum went today. I actually think they will agree todays referee was an absolute disgrace. Just seen Hill's comments on him too. Could get himself into trouble there but he's spot on with what he said. The only red I'd maybe be tempted to agree with was our first, very very soft though. Our tactics today were baffling to say the least. Playing 2 strikers at right back and left back. First goal was scruffy looking and possibly an own goal. Second one at least three of our players could have cleared it before the shot came in for the goal. Got ourselves to blame at that point. Then we put Calvin back up front where he belongs, scored within a minute or two and it was game on again. Stroke of half time Rafferty gets sent off, will have to see this one again but for a second booking it looked a little soft but was possibly merited. So not out of it 11v10 still and looked fairly lively for the first few mins. Then the game changer, down to 9 men and pretty much game over. We actually kept the ball better with 9 men that we did with 11 strangely enough and I cannot fault the effort of those who remained on the pitch. We need a win Tuesday to rescue this alarming slide down the table at a critical time. 11v11 I felt Posh were definitely there for the taking and looked shaky at the back too but we'll never know on that one now whether we would have taken something from it. Once the third went in the valiant efforts of those left on the pitch sadly came to nothing.

Focusing on ourselves rather than the referee, we need to play players in their natural positions and let them play, keep things simple and pretty much back to basics. Last week v Charlton going forward we looked like scoring almost every time we attacked, I expected maybe one change for Canavan to be replaced by McNulty. Upon seeing the team sheet it looked like that had been done, but it was impossible to say who would be playing left back, then of course we start with our two top scorers on the pitch on the day both in defence! Baffling.

All three red cards were correct. McDermott's challenge was awful. Let's try controlling our own discipline instead of always trying to blame officials.

Hill's team selection and formation was a disgrace. Perhaps someone from GMR or other media sources should have the balls to ask him about it instead of brown-tonguing him all the time.

Was covering this for Opta. No one in the press had any idea what formation Rochdale could be playing with such a bizarre team selection. I don't even know now, I just stuck with a 4 1 2 3 and changed it around every 20 mins.

Two forwards playing at left back and right back?

To be fair you didn't look that bad at defending but there was lots of defensive confusion and mix ups. Weak against crosses and long balls with the two fullbacks pushing up a lot.

Red cards were all fair. Rochdale's first was a deserved second yellow, stopped a counter attack. 2nd was just idiotic, I'd be furious if I was a Rochdale fan, he got heavily but fairly tackled and then decided to get one back by lunging in two footed and late.

3rd red card was deserved. Entertaining game.

I am furious about the red cards (all correct) and our manager's selection and formation. Too much unnecessary tinkering.

Bizarre game from the off.

Rochdale's team selection was weird. We should have used Maddison and Taylor more on the wings because it was a bizarre selection.

Three goals in the space of about 5 minutes shot the game in to life, all with some suspect defending in there.

All reds were correct. Baldwin for us is an idiot. Just no need to do what he did against 9 men.

Deserved but it's hard to tell what either team were capable of cause the game was just bizarre.
