9th place Peterborough face 17th place Shrewsbury and both teams need the points for very different reasons. Peterborough are 3 points off the playoff places and Shrewsbury are 5 points off the relegation places.

Posh v Salop

Another tough assignment for Shrewsbury, history is not on our side with just a couple of away wins in the last 30 years or so at London Road. But with the club enjoying a resurgence in recent form and results, anything is possible. I'd take a draw just to keep the unbeaten run going and keep points tally ticking over nicely.

Prediction: 1 all, Whalley to score

We're not particularly good so a 1-1 wouldn't surprise me. I'd like to think we have enough to see off the challenge of the Shrews but we're so lightweight upfront I just can't see our strikers scoring again this season. :ffs:

After the win at Scunthorpe on Saturday I'd certainly take a draw tomorrow night at Peterborough. Key to our recent good form is a settled team, tho some reports that Ogogo may be a doubt which would be a huge blow. He's been everywhere in recent weeks.

I'm going for a repeat of the 1-1 at our place, with Freddie dancing in front of the away fans again.

I didn't go (the missus didn't fancy Valentine's in Peterborough, however lovely it may be..) so I'll have to reserve judgment on the actual performances.

The result was probably a fair one in the end, tainted by dodgy red card. Our goal, a penalty, sounded against the run of play. Posh were doing plenty of attacking and we were hitting on the counter. It was no surprise to me when then scored really, Town had done well to keep them out and just couldn't keep the ball up top long enough to relieve the pressure long enough. We missed Ladapo up front, we needed a bit of muscle to hold the ball up and bring others into play which is something he does quite well. Nothing against Humphreys or Dodds but they're not that type of player.

Can anyone shed a bit more light on the red card? Two yellows wasn't it, second yellow for not retreating at a free kick?

I didn't go myself due to work commitments but from the highlights it's a 50/50. The highlights show it. A good win for us if not the best performance. We need to improve our home form and this is a good start:

Why would your missus not want to come to Peterborough? We've got some of the best looking multi-story car parks in the country and there's not one, but two Whetherspoons...

Hardly Paris or Venice though is it, however romantic it may be! :bg:

That's a woeful red card, that type of thing happens every game and goes unpunished. Fair do's to your player, spotted the opportunity and let the ref make a decision. Arsehole.

I think the term you're looking for is "consumate professional".

I got the feeling after Rodman was booked early on that we'd have a red card last night, and that only increased after we were given the penalty. There were a lot of complaints in the away end about the red card, but as RobboPOSH says above, he was done by an experienced pro. Something Humphrys will hopefully learn from. Didn't like the way McCann celebrated the red card tho.

Only one winner after the red card unfortunately. But I would say that we were winning against the run of play anyway. This should act as a reminder to some that we are nowhere near out of the relegation fight yet, especially if Ogogo is out long term.
