David de Gea; Walker, Otamendi, Vertonghen, Alonso; Silva, Eriksen, De Bruyne; Salah, Kane, Agüero.

Easy to agree with I'd say.

I reckon St. Juste will disagree with Walker and possibly even Kane, the only Englishmen in the eleven.

I'd have Young over Alonso.

Robbo over Alonso, but he wasn't playing much at the start of the season so that counts against him.

And Saltire was always going to find space for another Liverpool player in there.
Its true though, Alonso has went walkies the second half of the season whilst Robbo has been the best LB in the league BAR NONE, NONE I TELLS YA!

There hasn't really been an outstanding left back this season, might as well give it to Delph.

Alonso has been outstanding at times though, (whereas Robertson has been consistently solid). It's well deserved.

There's in general a lack of good full backs in top level football. It's like that famous quote, nobody grows up wanting to be Gary Neville.

Has Eriksen been brilliant all season? I'm not sure he has.

Quality of CB in the prem can't be that good if Otamendi is in the team of the season. There is a gulf in class between him and Vertonghen.

Erm he came into the side around the same time Karius did and in that time the keeper has kept clean sheets in 42% of his games and overall Liverpool are third in the table for clean sheets behind Utd and City respectively. The Robbo, VVD and Karius triumvirate has worked well; and far better than the amazing Pickford and Keane defense we all got told from you bitters was much better than Liverpool's defense.

Walker is not a good footballer.

People on this site were claiming he was better than Kimmich two weeks ago.

Walkers career will go the same way as Hart. As for the rest of the team, Alonso has been inconsistent but there aren't many better players in that position - had Robertson been playing from the start of the season he would have likely won it.

I'm glad to see the consistently underrated Eriksen getting the credit he deserves - fantastic player.

The Englishman is shit and the Scot would have proved he was the very best had he played more often.

Well, do you disagree or not?

How does the Eriksen comment work in your translation service?

As it was, Alonso probably did deserve the award - but he had plenty of absolute stinkers.

Whether I agree or disagree is irrelevant.

The Eriksen comment was one of those things that doesn't translate well, sorry about that. I hope this won't deter you from using our service in the future.

i don't know of anyone involved in football who doesn't rate eriksen highly at this point. he's consistently praised and mentioned as one of the best in the league in his position.

There hasn't really been an outstanding left back this season.

I watch you sometimes, all your defenders look good for their level which imo is systemic. Your central pivot has a lot of defensive responsibility and bar weaker teams at home, your wingers help out a lot as well. I wouldn’t be comfortable buying a defender from you because any decent player will look good in your system. Hell, even Shelvey looks like he could put in a shift at DM!

i wouldn't be comfortable selling you a defender beelo mate.

dummett has been excellent since coming back from injury, he's made a massive difference. very good positionally, rarely loses out 1 on 1 but just wouldn't offer enough going forward in certain systems. agree with what you've said, however manquillo looks shit (because he's shit) and the sooner we upgrade clark or give mbemba a chance the better.

think the team is pretty much spot on tbh. you could argue against otamendi i suppose, and maybe swap out aguero for sane. but yeah, one of the easier tots to pick in recent memory.
