Hugo Lloris has always refused to play unless fresh croissants were provided.

Burnley have appointed Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law as Head of National Recruitment for Under 17s to Under 23s. He will take up the position on February 4th.

He leaves with my best wishes and my sincere thanks for all he has achieved while at Alfeton. He has overseen the most successful period in the clubs history and has seen many players go on to play at a high level . Kyle McFazdean at Burton and Aden Flint at Bristol City to name just but a few.

Joel Matip turned down the chance to win AFCON with Cameroon to draw twice and lose all other games for Liverpool.

Heh, cock and tail.

Seen Djibril Cisse retired again. I know he had that really bad injury but was surprised to read he only scored 13 goals for Liverpool. Would have guessed it was a fair few more than that.

Well that's why I was surprised to read it then. :hypo:

I see his record on Wiki is league games only. Must have caught the BBC out too coz that's where I saw it. They've taken that line out of their article now.

No Liverpool fan worth his salt would buy that shit rag but I'm not sure what that's meant to achieve.

"Whilst we can't undo the damage done, we would like to further a dialogue with the city and to show that the paper has respect for the people of Liverpool.

You had no respect for the victims of Hillsborough. Hypocrites.

Good for them - like Super_Horns, though, I was quite surprised to hear that Sun journalists weren't already banned from reporting from Anfield.

I know Klopp has ignored questions from S** journalists since he's been manager anyway. Good news that, it's still a dreadful paper to this day.

Sunderland are reportedly considering moving their training ground to in & around London. Sounds mental but does make sense.

How does it make sense? Oh, lets complain about travelling for two hours for a game and moan about fixture congestion... here's an idea, let's travel 3/4 of the country for training and then effectively travel back home like an away game.

Where's the sense in it? Higher class hookers?

Advantages would be attracting players & coaches. Most normal people wouldn't dare live in Sunderland let alone PL players. Clubs get chartered flights nowadays so travel wouldn't be an issue, I imagine they'd still use the base in Sunderland the day before a home game too. Away matches would be a lot easier in terms of travel also.

Word around the campfire is that Uncle Woy is to be the next Leicester manager. For the sake of comedy please please let this happen!
