Thursday 9th May 2019 19.45
League Two A 1st Leg

Friday 10th May 2019 19.45
League Two B 1st Leg

Sunday 12th May 2019 18.00
League Two A 2nd Leg

Monday 13th May 2019 19.45
League Two B 2nd Leg

Those dates and times are a disgrace. 5 days after the regular season end and midweek?

Decided by Sky TV was who have no interest in this league the rest of the season.

Was gonna say, not sure what the issue is with those dates.

No Saturday games? Last year both first legs were on Saturdays, which was also further away from season end.

Last season we played the first leg on the Saturday night, a week after the last day, then the second leg the following Friday night. Great if you like a drink, the only bad thing was the result!

And the season before. Tight turnaround to sell tickets but other than that no problem

Hopefully doesn’t affect us.

I do love exeter but not on a Thursday night

It is hardly ideal to have matches on a Thursday, Friday and Monday night when there are two free weekends which could have been used if it was not for Sky. Even the Sunday game has an awkward kick off time if you have any distance to travel.

It is only because supporters are used to being pi$$ed around by TV companies that they would think those dates are in any way reasonable. We are quite likely to have Exeter / FGR away on a Thursday night.

4 days to work out how to potentially do one of Colchester/Exeter/Newport.. yep fantastic. More baffling by there then being a near two week break to the final.

Stop moaning, we had this format last year. Played on a Thursday and a Sunday only 4 days after the last game of the season.

They weren’t in this league last year so probably wouldn’t have paid much attention.

It’s been like this for several seasons, if tranmere have such a problem they could always opt out and give the playoff spot they’ll get to another team?

Just because it's happened a few times before doesn't mean it isn't shit. Can't see any reason why these games couldn't be played on the Saturday.
Because of Sky. Like it or not they put money into the game. It will be the only time we are shown this season (if we make it) so I won't complain. Imagine being a Leeds fan when their game is shifted every other week.

Just shows how fans are now used to sky shitting all over them that they find these dates acceptable when there is two perfectly good weekends for them to be played on

Guess it’s a case of don’t bite the hand that feeds.

They’re showing us again on Monday, bless them.

The hand only feeds cos of the Championship. Sky don't give a fuck about League 2. So why not continue to not give a fuck for the playoffs.

Doubt they'll get big viewing figures anyway so might as well have them on Saturday. Have them both on at 5:30 if you have to televise them and stick them on the red button. The people that would watch them on the Thursday/Friday or whatever would still tune in.

They don't feed you, they don't even feed the clubs, it's only players and agents that have earnt from sky.

Don't overly see the issue here, any televised game is often moved and you get the cash for it. If you are in them go and enjoy them, wont matter a jot if your on the pitch celebrating at the end will it?

Exactly. Just because it happened before doesn’t make it right.

Slightly bizarre people that people are happy it’s only about the money and no consideration for fans. Types who avoid away games more than 40 miles away I guess.

Appearing on Sky gives teams exposure that they don't normally have. Are people really saying that the first leg should be on one Saturday, and the second leg the next, giving less than a week to sell tickets for Wembley? Think about it.
The games are usually sold out whenever they are played so giving people a chance to watch on Sky as well is a bonus.

Mind we’ve already been on against Lincoln and again against Oldham on Monday, just giving punters what they want I suppose.

Hopefully other teams get exposure in the playoffs

6 times in the playoffs and no promotions from it, glad we're already up.
Hate them.

This would be our third time in the last three years. F*cking hate it.

We've been promoted via playoffs before but only once I think. Our track record at wembley is abysmal. About 15% win rate I think.... :ffs:

Seen us in them 3 times without success.

Better than finishing 8th I guess but complete lottery, a whole season can be over on a dodgy ref decision

The idea of potentially going to Exeter or Forest Green midweek for a play off game isn't great. Outside of the travelling, it involves taking time off work and potentially four days in which to do it. We did manage to take a thousand down to Aldershot on a Wednesday night for our last away play off semi though, so I'm sure we'd manage... not without a lot of entirely justified moaning about it. Much rather finish third...

25% but still not great.

I hate it too but if we do get to Wembley again I’d just try to treat it as a ‘bonus’ as it’s Taylor’s first season. Plus I’d lump £100 on whoever we’re playing to ensure there would be some positives to take either way.
