Need a win here, no messing fuckers.

Maxwell
Fisher, Huntington, Davies, Earl
Pearson, Johnson
Barkhuizen, Browne, Robinson
Nmecha
Feeling pretty confident we can turn the corner but that will probably fade a couple of hours before kick off.

Been pretty average for the last month, lost four out of five away including our last three without scoring. Our tactics extend basically to give it Powell and hope he does something special. Sound like a broken record predicting our games but I do think it’ll be a snoozefest that either finishes 0-0 or 1-0 to either side.

Walton
James
Kipre
Dunkley
Robinson
Morsy
Evans
Jacobs
Powell
McManaman
Grigg/Windass

That team would give us the best chance of scoring and winning, but Cook is too negative to play McManaman from the start. So Windass will play wide with Grigg up top. If Morsy is still injured, Gibson will keep his place.

A 0-0 or 1-0 in a game involving PNE? I'd be amazed.

We’ve had one shot on target in 270 minutes of football and that was from a Swansea player backpassing the ball straight to Grigg in their own half. Your defence is just as bad as our attack at the moment. It’s the kind of game that desperately needs an early goal to open it right up.

Same team for me aswell apart from I'd swap Barkhuizen for Barker.

We need 3 points here, if we can get them, with Maguire to return I don't see any reason why we won't start climbing the table.

On that note, any nobbers able to tell us how many times we've scored first in the league this season? Our record from leading positions last season was class, need to get back to that.

Think first goal will be key in this one too, providing we don't concede within a minute as per.

We've scored first in 3 games so far, QPR, Stoke and Bolton. The first goal looks crucial then like you say, 5 of our 6 points have come after scoring first.

We’ve lost every game we’ve conceded first in so far this season, all four of them away from home. Won five of the six games we’ve scored first in and drew the sixth.

Prem ref appointed for the match, Lee Probert. He’ll have his hands full with Morsy and Pearson on the same pitch.

Should be tasty that, big fan of Morsy.

First trip since 2005 to Preston for me. Missed the only visit since in 2016 as was in Canada. We tend to end clubs bad runs and our recent record against the old Lancashire sides is awful. So not confident despite the fact we've played well so far this season. A few attacking injuries have took some pace out of the team and we don't look balanced, which has stopped us scoring the last few games.

We need to start to McManaman to give us that pace and balance

Left after the red card and on my way to the station. Bald fraud didn’t start McManaman and we lost surprise surprise. Shambolic performance!

Both sides were dreadful. Our worsr performance of the season by far. Completely the wrong team selection and first sub.

Worst officiating performance I've seen in nearly 30 years of watching football. Referee sticks his leg out and deflects the ball to a Preston player into the box and Preston score from it having created nothing beforehand. Walton should have done better.

2 clear reds in the first half for reckless lunges from behind. Far worse challenges then Gibsons red card. Then at 2-0, 2 definite penalties for a trip on McManaman and Burn had his shorts pulled just as he was about the cross.

Bring in VAR fucking now.

Wow, what a load of fucking bollocks.

We clearly weren't dreadful. Knew you'd be saying a load of dummy spitting shite as soon as you said "both teams were dreadful" with your bottom lip nearly quivering off the front of your face.

Just seen the highlights. Even worse than i fucking thought. Never a red for Gibson and that penalty for Preston is laugahble. Bambi number 45 flopped to the floor like he did all game.

Those 2 tackles were absolutely disgusting from Pearson and Robinson with intent to injure. How they escaped reds were a disgrace.

Punishment, ref might have a game off and be banned from reffing Wigan games for a year or something big fucking deal.

And which of our goals came from an assist by the ref?

Honestly can't remember off the top of my head but I'll happily look back at it

Definite red for Gibson. High lunge like that and you're a gonner.

Robinson and Pearson 'tackles' were cynical but to say the were made with intent to injure is over dramatic bollocks...

They were little trips as your players were about to break.

I will admit that I thought our pen was soft but the game was well and truly won by then anyway.

Should have had a definite pen in the first half anyway.

Just seen the penalty. Definite pen, nowhere near the ball and kicks across Nmecha. Should have had one earlier too.

Honestly don't know what this guy's whinging about.

I don’t think I’ve ever left an away game so angry and embarrassed. And that was only at 2-0! Best decision I’ve made in a while, sat at home when I would have been stuck on a rammed train otherwise. We take 3k+ to away game once a season if that and to be dicked like that in front of them is a disgrace. Outfought, outthought and outplayed with only an 18 year old kid coming out of it with any credit, and he’s not even our fu**ing player!

The opening goal, Morsy kicks it clear and the ref sticks his leg out and knocks it back into our box. Fair enough Robinson and Walton should probably still have stopped it but without the refs block it would have been down near your keeper.

It wasn't knee high from Gibson at all, replay clearly shows him hooking your lads ankle.

Both your tackles first half were sliding tackles from behind, showing studs, they're both red cards. Powell went off injured after failing to shake off Pearsons studs to the back of his calf for the first tackle.

We were awful and Cook fucked up but if the ref does his job and its 9 v 11 after 40 minutes then it could have entirely changed the outcome of the match, even with our terrible display until that point.

Course it was knee high. He was off the ground.

You're also ignoring the blatant penalty in the area in the first half, which should have been given with a red card. The ref gave us nothing, when your defenders were constantly all over Nmecha as they couldn't handle him.

He's class him that Reece James. Very impressive little player.
