Our last hurrah as a football league club, now live on SKY for all to witness! :sur:

Saving ourselves had been in our own hands for weeks and weeks, but we've stumbled and bumbled our way to 5 points from 30, including defeats to Barnet, Cheltenham and Orient's U12's, severe mismanagement from our asset stripping Cockney chums off the field has cost us dearly (and continues to do so) and on the field we have a group of players who just simply aren't good enough, most of which haven't been good enough for several years.

Sorry title chasing rivals of Donny's but we are going to be no help at all, hope goal difference isn't going to come into cos they're gonna give us a proper pumping, like elephant having sex with a cat pumping.

Strangely enough , I can see the two Counties drawing .... the non league board alone should be enough to inspire the players on .... as for us , there is no reason on earth why we should take 3 points of Donny when we took 4 games v Orient Barnet Cheltenham and Morecambe to get 1 ..... but as Greavsie says ....its a funny ol game ...

Strange team selections mystery injuries ruling players out for the remainder only to have them in the squad a week later then playing 1 striker up front at home, most of our players have been on holiday since promotion and seem unable to get out of that mode

At least Podge is proven in scoring the goals to get you out of that league.

I can see Hartlepool winning this, but frustratingly I can also see Newport winning.

I know some people have thier preferences , I know I do when it's others , but if we end up with less points than Newport , it's not due to bad luck or anything , relegation if it happens will be totally deserved , if we get out of it , it will be almost , only almost mind , be like Jimmy Glass ...

Spot on. Personally I will not be comfortable if we end up mugging Newport of their own great escape. The club is a disgrace from top to bottom and has been for years. That hellhole aka 'the national league' is probably even too good for us. Losing 3 nowt at Maidenhead (I had to check where the hell that was on google maps) in front of 200 fans will become the norm as Coxall and his asset strippers further fuck us over.

I'm not convinced the National League is as bad as people say, ....I rarely go more than 2 1/2 hours away so Maidenhead or Minehead means nothing to me ...our away end only has a sprinkling in it more often than not so that won't be much different ..... Gateshead over Christmas and New Year will be preferable to whatever midland club the FL thinks we are near to

Might well get Gateshead at Xmas but they only have about 500 fans so hardly going to be an atmosphere. It's also quite a southern league like L2 if you look at it, but a poorer league with even smaller crowds and a complete bastard to do well in. I can't agree that league is not so bad.

Can't be as bad as settling into the bottom 3 once again .... I'd rather not check , but how many times have I left the ground in the last 7 years dissapointed ? Plus 1 away win in the last dozen I've been to .... I just want to compete , where ever it may be

There is nothing worse than the Conference. Wouldn't even waste your time trying to talk yourself into the idea that it's not as bad as it's made out to be. It's even worse than that.

Understand what you're saying but my fear is it would be bottom 3 down there for us next season like York unless something massively changes. We should be one of the leading pack down there if we're well run. I'd take relegation as long as there's a change of ownership to allow us to rebuild as a club

I'm coming but I'm not confident... We've thrown the title away and they lads have basically been on holiday since we got promoted.
I'd take a draw 1-1

Nothing essentially changed there but the move towards fan ownership is positive. He is still the major shareholder though and will need to be bought out, hopefully with money from Carson or Thomas rather than doing one with next seasons 750k parachute payment. Can't see him walking away for nowt

If he loves the club like he says he does, he will hand over his shares for the exact same amount he paid for them

He won't though, will he?

Either way, get him out the picture, get a decent manager experienced at L2/national league (delete as applicable), have a good fucking clear out and finally bring in some decent signings who are decent at the level we're going to play at THEN WE MIGHT NOT STRUGGLE NEXT SEASON ! Felt good writing that.

The bloke is an habitual liar, he even reckoned his big January announcement that never materialised was going to be the move to fan ownership, pull the fucking other one, we're still waiting for these automated turnstiles that were supposed to be a few weeks late in August.

I don't see this getting resolved any time soon and I don't think he's going anywhere quickly do you? It just looks like Coxhall wants to swerve all the grief he was/is gonna get Saturday and let someone else take the bullets whilst he hides down south. What is Pam Duxbury's interest in all this, just waiting to get their money back and bail out or does she now own Goldberg's portion of the shares? She already said at a recent fans forum that she didn't have the money to run the club and wasn't interested in being a chairwoman.

And no pressure or owt whoever is in charge but they HAVE to be advertising/looking for a new manager pretty sharpish right?

I think it's 6000 home , which means we've found 3000 people from somewhere .... still , it takes something to beat the 16000 that never miss a game who turned up in Cardiff ...

Like us, with lots coming out of the woodwork. 7,500 sell out now. Our biggest home crowd since the mid 80s.
