You've left 'Clown College' out of the thread title. Latent desire for us to get something.

We won't, of course.

I'm much more confident ahead of this fixture than when we played you last season, Nolan's long gone, plus another 2? managers aswell. Expect Smith to be dropped (finally) for this one, maybe Chaplin or Hunt will get the nod with Lowe possibly making a late appearance.

I agree WAP - normally I'm pessimistic with home fixtures but we must win this one against the basket case that is Leyton Orient.

Smith has surely played his way out of the team with last week's non-display? Chaplin's hat-trick for the stiffs must put him at the front of the queue and 30 mins from Lowe would be nice.

Agreed, Chaplin in. I'd like Lalkovic to get a start over Bennett too, he looked good when he came on at Doncaster. And I think it's definitely worth giving Lowe a good run-out.

But no doubt we'll see Roberts, Baker, Bennett and Smith start instead..

I never said omitting Clown College from the thread titles guaranteed a positive result (although it guarantees a loss when included).

This day was the highlight of last season for me, watching Leicester smash Man City at Portsmouth's charming pub, The Ship Anson, before seeing that glorious Jobi screamer to deservedly win the fixture.

Under no illusions this time around. At least 2 - 0 Pompey, likely more.

We can't make any signings because Becchetti won't let Edwards. Whats the point when your owner is giving off the vibes that he wants his own team to fail.

The fucking braindead c***.

Orient fans, if you're gonna grab 3 points you wouldn't have expected to, this is as likely a game as any given our home form.

Fair play to those who travel down. I can sympathise with that feeling where the club you love is being destroyed by strangers who don't give a fuck, nor understand what the club means to you, your friends, your family, your community. It can turn you against the club, which suddenly doesn't feel like the same thing anymore. Matches become joyless and painful. A win feels like papering over the cracks and hiding what's really going on behind the scenes. So to everyone who travels down feeling like that right now, you have my utmost respect. Good luck for the rest of the season.

Won't be many coming down today. Nowhere near four figures. Doesn't matter how bad your home form is; if you score, you will win.

We have got to start killing games off. Game went pretty much as expected, Smith held the ball up well but literally what has to happen for him to have a shot. Clearly has no confidence and I don't know if we can keep pursuing with him if he's afraid to shoot.

Decent win, we played well but once again couldn't kill it off. But considering our shaky home form before Luton I'm not surprised at that, the team needs to build up their confidence at home again - if we still can't kill teams off after a few wins on the bounce at home I'll be more worried.

Lowe looked good despite his decreasing involvement as the half went on; I think the team deliberately avoided the right side as much as possible with Baker filling in at right back, and for good reason. I like Smith more and more for his workrate but he seems mentally unable to shoot. Chaplin class again, bar the penalty save. Keeping and starting him for the remainder of the season is crucial to getting Top 3, I feel.

2 points!

4-4-2 Never thought I'd see the day.

We created so many dangerous chances in the first half and for once actually had players in the penalty box. Could and should have been 3 or 4 up at half-time but fair play to Orient they stuck at it and scored a great equaliser.

Surely the penny has dropped for Cook that if you play Chaplin in a front two he will score goals galore. It's worth changing your philosophy to get the best out of a talent like that.

So Lowe looked fairly promising in his first run out for you all? Wish we'd never got rid all those seasons ago

If Portsmouth could kill teams off, they'd have buried us alot more easily. We had one shot all game and scored, despite getting into a few decent positions in the attacking third, we created very little.

We set up 5-3-2 and got battered until we went 1-0 down, the penalty save just delayed the inevitable 90 seconds later.

Second half, as I said Portsmouth were content mainly with what they had. Neither keeper had anything to do in the second half - We don't posses enough quality to do much against the better sides. Gavin Massey I thought was excellent for us though.

Edwards has confirmed that no signings can be brought in, We might even be under an embargo. Unless 3-5 new faces are brought in with one or two moved out, we will go down.

He started off bright but we took off Evans at half time so Carl Baker ended up playing RB so we tried to play mainly down the left as Lowe was playing out wide on right. He didn't see much of the ball towards the end but was good to finally see him on the pitch.
