That was a throughly entertaining shoot out was well worth the turgid 120 minutes that came before it. The Germans again found a way to win and are looking hot favourites to win the tournament, Italy can hold their heads up high after a good showing this year despite the pessismism back home. Hard to take for them but I'm sure they'll give it a good go in 2018. Oh and that penalty from Zaza is quite possibly the worst I've ever seen.

Bit gutting but, we were never winning a tournament that required us to knock Spain, Germany and the hosts out just to earn a spot in final. Team isn't good enough ultimately, it's solid and efficient but there's not real standout talents any more, Buffon likely gone now too who was the last real one left.

Missed De Rossi all night.
