But he's not been on bail for it, seems the first he, or Southend, knew about the charges was Monday.
He pleaded not guilty in court today to 'fraudulent obtaining of bank details by telephone from a vulnerable person in order to gain access to the victim's savings'
If found guilty he'll be in trouble if the prosecution can prove money was actually illegally obtained and removed as that carries a custodial sentence and it's pretty likely he'd receive one. Otherwise, again if found guilty, he'll likely face a fine and community service.

He was found not guilty of rape before and outside of football circles I doubt anyone would take too much notice of him.

My wife who has no interest in football but checks the football results to see what kind of mood i'll be in on Saturday has no idea who Ranger is and he played for us for a couple of years.
