I am predicting the Yeovil lot will drop. :hesk:

Morecambe will end up struggling as always.
Cambridge will be fine, it's a pick of Stevenage and Newport for bottom spot with the other 2nd to last

Having witnessed us today you can't say we don't have many of the standard relegation campaign must-haves though.

Rovers fans still obsessed with League 2 I see though. There's so many of them though, understandable there's be a bottleneck to move to the forum above this one...

I didn't actually witness you today so I can't say you looked relegation-bound. The comments made by the Barnet fans are pretty much a carbon copy of comments made by fans of other teams we've faced. Either everyone we've played so far this season has performed particularly poorly, or we just make teams look worse than they are (crucially without really putting them to the sword).

If we don't buck up our ideas on the goalscoring front - ZERO goals scored from open play this season - we could be flirting hard with the arse end of the table.

Give it a month or two though, of course there's always a chance that the dogshite average quality of the league will save us.

As long as it's either Stevange,Crawley or Wycombe I'll be happy.

Nah Forest Green won the league before a ball was kicked, according to some of their fans, with one predicting between 130 - 150 goals scored.........

We won't get the proper picture until much later in the season.

When injuries and suspensions start to hit clubs with smaller squads, the clubs with larger squads will take advantage, especially as the emergency loan system pretty much no longer exists.

I would say the table will look very different come January, and some clubs near the top now, could well be down there fighting come February

reminds me of the urgent need for us to add some new players before... er, Wednesday.

100% correct.
It puts clubs like ours at a distinct advantage, because we can spend and stockpile should we need to.

Hi all, think I may be posting on this thread regularly this season unless something changes quickly.

I'd like to reserve a place on this thread for hellogregory

I don't think we'll come anywhere near this thread this year, but I confidently predict that there'll be a spell at some point during the season where he believes we should be looking over our shoulders.

I'm not completely ruling it out. Anything is possible, injury crisis, sell our best players in January. You never know....

But I'd put it as extremely unlikely, and I don't expect to be seriously in here at all. Mid table is where I think we'll end up, possibly playoffs if we keep our players fit.

Nah, you lot should make the play offs at the least and I wouldn't be surprised if you go up automatically. Unless something extraordinary happens like losing all your best players to long injuries, or selling them all in January. But does anyone really sees Carlisle selling 3 or 4 of their better players all at the same time?

However, I'm reserving a place on this thread esp if we don't sack Derry/or sack him and replace him with an even more inept manager. I just can't forget that 2004/05 season when very few of us thought we were going down until we finally realised the damage had been done already and there was no turning back.

I'm not sure anyone would buy them, Adams has been our best player so far and he's 29 and would need a good fee for us to let him go. Lambe may be of interest if he keeps playing as he is but I can't see him wanting to leave after just 6 months.

The season we won the conference we were 7th and 14 points behind Newport on the 6th January.

People also don't take into account the fa trophy, if you thought this stupid checkatrade or whatever it is trophy was bad, you've experienced nothing until the FA trophy gets going.

Or places like Braintree where if it rains for half an hour in Stockholm, Braintree pitch is waterlogged for 3 weeks.

This thread has really been set up about 5 games too early to judge who's going down yet but assuming that we're still not picking up points then and Derry is still manager then I'd agree we need to be in here.
