Of the teams mentioned on this thread as being shit we have already lost at home to 4 of them, Cheltenham, Leyton Orient, Hartlepool and Crewe.
And yet we're somehow top half, this league is seriously fucked up!
Well it's like how Newport are the only team to have beaten us, while Orient, Cheltenham and Accrington are the only teams to have taken points away from Brunton Park... it's a funny old league,

A consistent goalscorer is our problem. I don't see Gordan & Williams solving that problem. There were rumblings that Scotty Boden may be available for transfer and he was linked to come back down to Wales......I think we'll be going down this at the end of the season after a couple of years of bad decisions from top to bottom.

TBH, I had you lot down for a relegation scrap, but I don't see how Newport and Notts can get more points on the board than Crewe. Two clubs in a right mess, and both need massive squad investment. Cheltenham are right in the mix too, but I don't see Johnson taking them down. Still, they need new blood too as they're a bit lightweight up front especially.

I'm amazed at how badly Westley has done. He says the right things but for whatever reason it isn't working. If we get beat in the next 3 he needs to go to give ourselves a chance.

We are going down. Said it in the summer and I should have put that money on it then.

One thing every single club below us will do between now and May is act in some way. Either change their manager, get players in or show an ounce of fight. We'll do nothing, like last season. If anything we'll shed our better players and Steve Winner Davis will still be manager.

Anyone who thinks we'll stay up is underestimating what a absolute shit fest of a shambles this club is.

No idea, but we're going down under Westley. As much as it pains me to say it, i'd have Sheridan back in just to keep us up haha. I'd love Edinburgh back but he's probably way above us now. Something needs to change very, very soon if we're going to stay up.

Maybe you look for someone from non-league in preparation for next season?

What you really need is a compotent investor and a new stadium.

Newport will always struggle when they are competing in an English league system.

However I would like to see say Crewe, Orient or Notts County to drop as I feel they thoroughly deserve it.

Why would Newport struggle because of the English system? Never did Swansea or Cardiff any harm.

We've dropped a lot since our main backer pulled out but that is no excuse for two seasons of stupid decisions, starting with Butcher. As for a new stadium, there's little hope of that happening without a major investor, however it's Newport, can't see someone really wanting to back us long term haha.

Maybe so, but we still do have a chance of staying up, it's only 5 points, but with the run we're on, if it doesn't change in the next 3 games we need to be giving ourselves the best possible chance.

I don't think you should be too negative. With respect it appears you, Cheltenham and county and yourselves being pretty poor it only takes a bit of form or a decent signing or 2 from one of you to pull away.

It's not a lost cause

Swansea are currently getting relegated in hilarious fasion. Cardiff are relying on a Yorkshire man to maintain their championship status. Newport are heading back down to the non-leagues and fuck knows where Wrexham are at nowadays.

Brilliant stuff from the resident Welshies in an English league. :cool1:

Oh I know it's not a lost cause, but I do feel some kind of change is needed.

You were very lucky to get someone of Westley's calibre. He's the sort of guy who'll keep you up in the Blue Square Skrill Vana banana league next year.

So Crewe fans got what they wanted, can't say he didn't deserve the boot as he has a shocking record over the last few seasons.

We are right in the shit.

Our owner wants to sell up and has pulled all funding from the club, so we can't sign any players that be desperately need, he is apparently in discussions to sell the club.

We have a mounting injury situation as well and only one natural left back. We're having to play our youth team players, which is not ideal.

We also have a manager in charge who is not really a manager, I've given Andy Edwards a chance but he hasn't got what it takes.

Our players desire is often questioned.

Newport got promoted with a lottery winners money, he got bored of spending all his money and left, now they're going back to where they belong. Id happily swap them for a proper club like lincoln now.

To be fair Newport County have a good support base and an impressive away following for L2, much better than most of the shite away followings you currently get in this league.

Shall I name a few?

But Newport are a proper club -- Not very good I grant you but still a proper club.
