Are Wrexham in this? I mean, they're just above that line you'd consider a team to be in one and I think they'll be fine, but they've only scored 24 this season with only York and NFU scoring less. If their defence was much worse they'd be well in it.

Tough next three for York - Dover, Barrow, Aldershot.

Could be hasta luago york after those 3 games, dying shame to see a club like them in this position.

Some tough games in January.

Dagenham at home,
Wrexham away
Southport away
Macclesfield at home.

A month ago I would have written those away games off as a loss but we've improved away from home. 6/7 Points would be a massive boost but Macc and Dag are playoff chasing at the moment. Will be close games.

York surely can't go straight down again?
Well, why not? We're not bottom of the league for nothing. We were absolutely woeful on New Year's Day and North Ferriby were easily the better side. We're going to start running out of games pretty soon. At this point we probably need 9 or 10 more wins in the 19 remaining games, having won 4 in 27. It's looking far from good.

If the worst was to happen and we do go down (not that I think we will) and York also go down then Gary Mills will be responsible for relegating two teams in the same season. Quite the achievement.

If we do go down then Mills will no doubt deserve some of the blame, but there's plenty to go round and he wouldn't be first in the queue.

So McNamara and Keates' 50ish games managed between them would be irrelevant?

McNamara is quiet simply the worst manager in our history and is 90% his fault.
Not against Mills but that New Year's Day against NFU was awful and all progress made is back to square one.playing 3 defensive minded midfielders beggars belief.
Our only positive is our chairman has backed mills with 8 new players and has said funds available for more,

Sad to see York where they are don't want them to go down have alot of time for Gary mills. What's the York fans think of Fenwick? You never know a couple of teams may get a reprieve if the non league papers article about Solihull and north getting facing demotion

Fenwick has been a massive disappointment always thought he played well against us for Hartlepool.
He is one we need to move on.

Not irrelevant but not as significant a contribution as Mills. Maybe McNamara more than Keates as he seems to have put York onto this slide last season but Mills has signed a significant number of players at York. Keates hasn't been able to bring anyone much in because Mills spent all the budget on shite.

We're gone, and in more ways than one. We'll be liquidated if we go down, unfortunately it's going to take a miracle to turn this around.

performance wise this was the first time since the glory days of August that we put in 3 consecutive good performances, probably deserving of 6 points, definitely of 4, and we ended up with just the 1. If any of you lot can't overtake us then you don't deserve to stay up tbh.

The sum total of Fenwick's contribution has been to score a tap-in against a tiring and beaten Solihull side. Mills clearly doesn't rate him as he hasn't been in a matchday squad for a while, and frankly I agree.
The way things are we'll finish bottom so any reprieves will be moot, and North Ferriby will be in the bottom four in any case.

Seriously? Stockport are still going and Kidderminster have stayed pro

Highly likely, the doubts around our stadium, running costs etc, maybe we'd last a season tops, but any more than that and YCFC would likely cease to exist. It was always the danger last time of staying down here so long, it's more imminent now sadly.

What's the problem with Solihull and NFU, is it ground issues?

Maybe we could do a Welling and stay up by reprieve! I hadn't thought about that.

According to non league paper yeah. Not been to either but hoping to head to Solihull soon
That won't be happening to us. We have a new stand behind the goal with a 500 capacity (I think) and another stand to put to the side of the pitch. You're playing us on Saturday.

I'm hoping to get as long as it ain't icy which will probs lead to game been called off anyway. One of your fans mentioned new facilities on Gateshead forum

For what its worth I think your right about us and you going down. I also dont think Guiseley have what it takes to say up but at this stage with so many games left to play you cant right off any of the teams in the bottom 4 at the moment.

2 wins on the bounce for Ferriby puts on 30 points and ramps up the pressure on teams like Wrexham and Solihull. The lack of quality in the bottom 8/9 teams I think will lead this relegation race all the way to the final couple of games.

Wrexham have a run of 4 very winnable home games coming up along with the away Chester derby. If they pick 8 or more points from those I think thats them pretty much safe.

Masive game on Saturday with Guiseley hosting Maidstone I think

We play Wrexham on the 14th away. hopefully we can carry on being abit of a bogey team with them. Southport away follows the week after so theres chances for us this month to get out of the bottom 4, even if only for a little while

Keates is busy shedding Mills duds. Hopefully the new players coming in can scrape us some wins and drag us up to mid table safety.

Realistically four from the current bottom seven look most likely to go down. I'd bank on Southport getting clear from that lot.

York, Guiseley, NFU and Maidstone are my picks. You never know with this league though.

Eastleigh chairman to pull the plug once play-offs are mathematically impossible.
