Is Gary Mills responsible for the recent wins or is it only the defeats that are his fault?

Mills takes no credit.

Keates has recently got rid of six of Mills summer signings with a couple more on their way out.

We also now play with players in their proper positions and with recognisable tactics. It all helps.

Wins for most of the bottom teams yesterday. I am hoping this goes down to the wire. We've played 1/2 more than everyone else which is a shame but hopefully the other teams around us dont capitalise on that.

Still think anyone up to Sutton is in danger, I think Bromley/Wrexham probably can feel they are safe barring an almighty collapse

Yeah we've done what I think a Maidstone fan eluded to not so long ago.. put together the smallest of runs (2 wins in a row, 10 points from 5) and suddenly we're well clear of it, albeit played 1-2 games more as well.

3 more wins from last 16 games, with a few draws, and we're safe.

Finally seen a team that had energy, desire & skill and believe me seen some shit over last season and half.
Start of this season only time we won was when Connelly played well.he has been injured since November and would be struggling to get in team.

I think we're pretty much already relegated.
We still have to play FGR, Tranmere, Barrow, Lincoln, Dagenham, Aldershot, Gateshead, Macclesfield, Chester, Wrexham & Boreham Wood

We aint getting much out of them!

The standard of this league is awful so I wouldn't say you're down yet. There's not one impressive side. Past promotion winners would trounce any of the current top 10.

Dont worry Gateshead will give you points as they seem to be doing with struggling sides this season

Eastleigh in the bottom half. Outsiders for the drop?

That would be hilarious, but very unlikely. On today's showing York won't go down, they have a very strong spine to their team and Newton was outstanding for them today. A bit more composure and they would have got all 3 points. Says it all our keeper was motm.

Got a feeling York might just about do it.

After a terrible run of form, Mills managed to get Wrexham on a decent run this time last year. Not particularly great football, but we became more solid. He even got us in with a shout of the playoffs. He can do it.

Wrexham fans are generally conflicted on this. Nobody wants to see a football club like York go down, but then Mills has managed to achieve an admirable level of unpopularity here and everyone wants to see him fail miserably.

Keates has massively improved our dismal squad. Jennings and Penn are ace at this level. Ollie Shenton was quietly superb yesterday and another great addition for the rest of the season. So yeah, 42 points and something resembling a a half decent football team. We should be okay to achieve safety now.

You forget what our form against the better sides is this season, we're more likely to stay up playing them than playing Braintree and York every week

If it makes you feel any better, our last 3 games are against FGR, Tranmere and Lincoln. If we're not safe after 43 matches then we're deep in the shit.

We have Tranmere H, Bromley A, Solihull H for our last three. All going well at the moment.

This may be hopeless optimism, but don't Sunderland always face everybody good at the end of the season and still drag themselves out, I'm sure I remember them beating both chelsea and city in the run in last year, we could do that.

Sutton are in this now, especially as they're not playing this weekend. More time for the teams around the bottom to make up ground on them. I'd much rather have the points on the board than games in hand.

Our midweek form is atrocious. And as for our away form.....

We still have Southport, NFU and York to visit. Win those and we're more or less safe

I expect they'll have enough to hang on, but with all the bottom sides finding form now I can see Eastleigh being in the battle before too long, their form since the FA Cup 1st Round has been shocking.

I think Maidstone, Southport and NFU are the most likely to go, and then it's one of about 7 teams who could join them.

I've just had a look at the full table down there and NFU have scored 18 in 32! Southport conceded 70!

Draws have killed York, in the same way they've done Barrow no favours near the PO's.

Despite their fans' very silly, hugely naive proclamation that they would finish above us, I do hope York stay up - a proper club with very friendly people, I was always made to feel welcome during my time there.

Ferriby and Southport will go, not sure on the other two.

Draws for us too, noticed the other day we've actually lost one fewer than you.

I'm not even contributing to this thread because we're already done. At least we have a nice shiny new stand to show for the season.

Yep the only good thing to come from this shambolic mess of a season. Im just hoping massive changes are made in the summer (other than a couple id get rid of the whole squad) and we dont underestimate the Conference South. Its not gonna be the walk in the park some of our fans think it will be.

Also with Hessenthaler & Steve King (was in the directors box at the Torquay game) hanging around like bad smells. Im starting to think Jays job aint very safe....no surprise really. At any other club he would of been sacked with this terrible run we been on.
