Potential for another interesting New Year’s Day game;

We are terrible away from home.
We have a terrible record on New Year’s Day
Macclesfield resurgent in the last 7 games.

Ollie Banks might be back from injury which would completely change the look of our team with much needed creativity in the middle.

Hopefully players don’t have one eye on the spurs game as we could do with wins here and Cheltenham next week to get back on track.

Good to see that Macc are making a fight of it under Sol Campbell, although I hope they roll over and die against us tomorrow!

Injured again for another month or two.

Thats a big blow for Mac I would think as he always causes us problems even when he played for Chester

It goes without saying we badly need to stop the rot away. We did look better , at defensively, at Bury but missed a fair few chances. I`d be happy with a point tomorrow but a lot will depend on how up for it our guys are given the big game on Friday night against Tottenham`s reserves.

Shame that the first game to try and follow up on back to back home wins is Bury away. In a vaccum, a loss is one you can accept, as they clearly have a good team and are excellent at home. But we've got to start picking up points away from home and nobody is unbeatable, home or away.

Goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway, I'd be delighted with a point. Another comfy home win, 3-0 is my guess. Why do I have this feeling we might even get spanked?

I've got that bad feeling I usually get before we get humbled...

From our point of view, got to hooe Tranmere players have an eye on the Spurs game. However, at the same time there could be certain degree of playing for a place in that game.

Saturday's result, if not the performance, wasn't surprising considering how many people are out. A sudden return of Whitaker or an inspiring signing would give me more confidence going into today.

Yeah I'm not confident on today either, we're just missing far too many key players and Tranmere squad will all be looking to bag a place for the Spurs game.

Taking my lad to his first game today, this could scar him for life.

I'd take a draw and no injuries given our poor away and New Year's Day form

Team news even worse than expected with Cameron absent. He's the reason we've had a decent defence recently (starting pre-Campbell).

Strange line-up for Rovers. McNulty didn't look fully fit v Yeovil and held back for the Spurs game. Surprised with so many other changes, anything could happen.

How are we not several up. Most one sided game of football you’ll see and we switch off and gift them a goal. Frustrating.

No idea how we managed to get a goal out of that; unsurprisingly been comprehensively second best. Ref is allowing Tranmere to do a right Lincoln on us too.

Besides not giving your lad a red for a two footed lunge and a blatant corner for not one but two deflections off a Connor Jennings shot? If you mean besides that then sure.

I'd have sympathy for the clear corner if he hadn't just given you a free kick for Harris jumping into Fitz, and had somehow missed the clear push on Grimes before he got booked.

Edit: Obviously both sets of fans singing "you don't know what you're doing" ten minutes apart is never a good look for a ref.

Lad wearing black was fantastic for Macclesfield second half there, killed the flow of the game and stoped us passing them to death.

Once again we’ve not been clinical enough though and that’s cost us.

Stole a point there.

Now time to recruit some better players!

Well that was a frustrating afternoon. Can’t really criticise Rovers first half performance, we were very good. Not the same animal second half though as Macc came back into the game a lot more and could of nicked a winner.

We should have won the game. In the first half we completely outplayed Macc and should have gone in a couple of goals ahead. The second half was more even, but we still had the better chances. Connor Jennings was immense, by far the best player on the pitch. At least we have stopped the run of away defeats.
