It's hard to know how to fix it. At this point it's happened so often there has to be a mental block with these players regarding it. Even the Swindon game we pretty much did all we could to keep them in it until the end.

Could say Friday is must win but I think it's beyond that now. A team with our away record is not going to get themselves out of trouble.

We've been dreadful away from home ever since we got promoted back to League One and it's about to bite us on the arse.

Or imagine if we needed a win on the last game of the season at Fleetwood away. We probably wouldn't muster up a shot.

You didn't really tonight other than one that went just wide and the goal. You had nice possession in the final third but did absolutely bugger all with it.

Doesn't surprise me, the last time I saw an away win was about 2 seasons ago

Oh and just remembered, quick word for Gavin Ward and his assistants who pretty much guessed every decision for the whole 90 minutes for both sides. No Cobbler or Vale fan was there to see that dwarfy tart ref yet he seemed to want to make it all about him

Thought the vale keeper had a bit of a mare to be honest. Phillips goal can happen occasionally but he looked slow to move across. For Taylor's he just seemed really slow to react, he also kicked over half his goal kicks off the pitch!

We looked quite sloppy at times but created enough to take the 3 points which should see us safe.

Fasan has been shit to be honest, great saving penalties but most goals he conceed of late he should do more with.

Maybe worth giving this Turkish kid a go we've just signed. Meant to be decent.

Just seen the highlights... Jesus Christ! Fasan what are you doing! That second is one of the worst we will concede this season, his position is suspect and really slow to deal with it.

We simply can't hold on to points!

Irrelevant of Taylor's quality, he should never be scoring from that distance - 9 times out of 10 he probably wouldn't but our keeper is in a dreadful position and basically is slow to get across. It's the type of goal you concede when you're likely to be relegated.

The first goal smacks of the same - it's clearly a cross gone wrong (or right). When things are going against you, you tend to get things like that happen but again you have to question the keeper.

We create very few goal-scoring opportunities, so it's no surprise that we lose more than we win. We need to be right at it from the off to have any chance and it seems like it took us a half to get going. Forrester doesn't look likely to score, his confidence seems shot and although Hooper has started scoring, he's not the man to fire you to safety. Our goals from midfield this season are virutally non-existent.

Having said that, i did predict a narrow defeat but we need to win our next two games. We've got to win like 5 out of 11 games though and I just can't see that happening as we tend to have a positive result followed by a poor result - we just can't get any runs going and the teams around us seem to be picking up wins when needed. Relegation I'm afraid.

This 5 out of 11 is basically 5 of next 7.
Really can anyone see us beating Bolton, Sheff Utd or Fleetwood, may as well forget Oxford too as it is away from home.

My hope with Bolton, Sheff Utd and Fleetwood is that their fate is already sealed at that point. Sheff might simply be there for a party and do a Wigan v Barnsley last season. Bolton and Fleetwood may not be able to make the automatics so save their best players for the play offs.

Oxford result is already confirmed as 2-1 to them. Oxford score first, we equalise, they win it with a hoof from the half way line or a last minute sickener. Standard scoreline since we've played them at the Kassam, and each time the scoring has gone in exactly the same pattern.

We have to win Friday and hopefully follow it up at Coventry and things then will look likely. These next two games will decide our fate IMO.

There is no way with 3 games left that Bolton will be 6 points adrift of 2nd spot and i'm afraid away from home is just pathetic whoever we play.
