One of the worst city managers ever.

However, we are going down because of SISU.

Don't know why anyone would want that job under those morons.

While that would be what you would think, becoming manager at Coventry is a safe bet. If you fail, you have your excuses!

Robins confirmed, did well when he was here before but we are in a very different position than his first time here.

Very strange to see him return after he walked out last time.

Not one to say I told you so, but I did.

Horrible, horrible manager. Absolutely not the type of bloke needed during adversity. Negative attitude, negative tactics, negative substitutions. The right call, you could not go into next season with him in charge.

Still a bizare move. As if anyone else can turn it around so late in season. Do coventry have a football league record for most managers in a season

Totally agree Bobbin, his win rate was below 8%.
The tactics were horrendous and as it looks like we are having Mark Robins back, at least we will play on the grass again.
Robins will do well next year in league two as he promotes the youngster and we have loads of them coming through

It wont be hoofball, granted, but whether you will actually play on any grass is an altogether different concept.

Not really about this season, Slade was never gonna be our manager in league 2 so may as well get someone in to assess the team before next season.

Did well in the brief time he was manager 4 years ago but we don't have McGoldrick anymore...

Robins is a good manager, but won't bring us back up. He needs to be a miracle worker to do that.

A shame for us on Saturday, new manager syndrome and all that, I've always rated Robins but regardless of who's in charge L2 is very rarely a bounce back at the first time league

Still cannot get over this...

The timing does seem strange.

Maybe the CC board seriously think there's still a chance of staying up and this is the last throw of the dice. History does show that new manager syndrome has worked miracles in the past.

I would have thought that any board that doesn't care would choose the cheap option, accept relegation and let Slade see out his contract.
Is this CCFC showing a smidgeon of ambition?

Have CCFC released a statement to explain their decision and the plan going forward? If not, then that's what they need to do.

Robins is hardly hot property and is not in demand after his last few jobs so doesn't really show ambition to me.

We're down, no one can save us from the current position. Looks like preparing for league 2 to me.

Robins has done well in the past at keeping sides up, so there is a chance he can save you. Long shot, I know, but don't rule it out. Whatever happens though, I wouldn't want to keep him on for next season.
