If they weren't such a basket case it would be ideal for Askey. Sorry are we still talking about Macc here?

Who will be (daft) enough to take the job at Chesterfield then? Will Mark Yates be persuaded? Or will someone desperate for a opportunity, any opportunity like Robbie Fowler take it?

Chesterfield are in that awkward position where, despite being a decent sized Club for this level, candidates such as Askey will want to think twice before touching it.

Then you're at the likes of McMahon, Yates and the like.

We've all been there. We had to suffer Holdsworth, albeit he improved us but it was painful times. Regardless of Club size, the top managers just won't touch you and you have to accept you're likely to get a midtable manager and then you get there, try and tempt a top end NL manager when you've stabilised.

Hire a Holdsworth and you'll have 50000 watching you within 5 years. #TheLincolnWay

However unlikely dont think its beyond the realms of possibility for Billy Heath to leave Alfreton and be tempted by joining back up with Denton at Spiretes.

Wheeler has left Maidstone.

Weird how bad they’ve been recently. I know it’s no mean feat to beat us but when they played at the Hive they were genuinely fairly impressive. McMahon in?

Never a massive fan of Wheeler to be honest. It's one thing taking over from a lunatic who has ploughed money into a club and being an instant improvement to working at one of the weaker sides in the Conference.

He lost out a bit on the fact Turgott got injured. However, I don't think he has recruited amazingly well and he seems to have alienated some of Maidstone's better players that Saunders left behind. McMahon in wouldn't work in my opinion. They need a Yates type firefighter. Watch Martin Allen rock up there...

Quite frankly though, Maidstone deserve relegation for what Saunders did in pre-season. Recruiting a strikeforce of Shamir Mullings and Joe Quigley should be punished with instant relegation.

Stones were just picking up form under Wheeler when we played them away, we were fortunate in the end to draw. Certainly didn't see them as relegation favs.

Barnet are like that thick ex that keeps taking back their dosser boyfriend who cheats on her and beats her.

Well we’re getting beaten by everyone else at the moment so a few more kidney punches won’t make much difference.

I never got the impression that Still’s heart was fully in the job. Maybe he was dreading the hostile reception he was due to get at tomorrow’s match?

Barnet will either try to prize Waddock away from us or if he stays put they will take Allen back.

It's actually embarrassing if this happens. Martin Allen manages for the pay offs. A gutless, heartless manager only interested in his own bank balance. The only time his heart is in the job is at Barnet and even then he's hoping for the bigger wage packet and compo pay off from another club round the corner.

A young hungry manager could get their chance at Barnet but nope, this mercenary just takes the piss out of that football club and will continue to do so until their owner pulls the plug on it.

Word is, Billy had to be TALKED INTO managing us in the Conference Prem, due to self doubts. His experience last season is unlikely to have changed his mind.

Don't do it Barnet FFS :woot:

I've met John Still a few times, as have alot of other O's fans - He lives quite local to us in Waltham Abbey I believe.

Genuinely nice guy, always happy to talk to all supporters. Can understand some Daggers and Barnet fans being a bit pissed off with him in the last few months, but I wish him a happy retirement.

I think 90% of Dagenham fans wish Still a happy retirement simply off the basis of him giving us our happiest times as a Dagenham fan. There are a 10% who only remember the fact he has left us in the lurch twice (the first time not so much but he definitely did a runner in the summer and tried miserably to nobly disguise it).

I wish him well. Without John Still, Dagenham wouldn't be half as recognisable in the footballing world as it is today.

I genuinely can't see it being Allen this time, he's only previously come back in emergencies. His stock has also fallen off significantly.

Will be interesting to see how long Currie gets. I am not sure if we will be looking for a new manager immediately despite the temporary tag.
