Weaver's dad owns the club so safer than most.

A unique situation in football creating a unique limbo for us in the stands. 4 points from 30, even after last seasons play off finish, on the budget available would have seen any other manager go. Particularly in context of the many, mamy seasons of under pa finishes previously, again in context of budget. As you say safest job in football.
Waiting for Godot

Add Billy Heath to that considering a shit league position, shit results and loud 'Heath out' chants against Telford and darlo, completely out of his depth.

Funny how he won promotion with basically the same squad but can't replicate it.

I put it down to pressure as he had none a north ferriby but he's expected to reach the playoffs at least with us.

There's also the fact that his tactics have been found out, managers know how to deal with certain players having faced them last season. Same reasons why Leicester aren't top of the Premier League, and Vardy isn't banging in goals - it was only gonna work like that for a limited period of time, just like North Ferriby.

Not looking like Garry Hill because he's been offered a new and IMPROVED contract.

The Board wouldn't sack him - they'd be stupid to - and they don't have the money to pay the remaining few months of his contract anyway. Nice ploy of 'at least we tried' when he inevitably leaves in the summer. He wouldn't leave because of the offer, he'd leave because of the lack of budget and direction the club is going in.

Surely not? I thought Woking were cutting their budget in preperation for their relegation to conference south?

All Liam Watson ever does is leave Southport and then go back.

Are Southport under the impression you need to have three managers over a season?

I thought Burr was doing OK, must be more to it than results surely?

here we go again.. surely Southport are gonna succumb to the drop soon with this standard practice every season?
I thought they were a bit clear and didn't realise it was just the 1 point..
After Chester and now Southport, that's Burr's aurora in the Conference completely diminished.

Southport.

Their Chairman must be due some stick soon, surely? What does he expect his manager's to do, and what manager in their right mind is going to touch their managerial job knowing full well you're likely to get about 3 months in the job?!

Jesus, that's insane.

Southport looked good enough to stay up against us. I know it's close near the bottom , but how does another sacking help? They'll be struggling to find a better dressed manager than Steve Burr.

What on earth is going on with southport. Worse than sunderland. Is it a case of panicking they are heading down so sack manager, new guy keeps them up, kicks off next season with poor form then hes shown door? Or have club backed steve. Burr to the hilt with players that should out them in mid table? If they constantly sacking managers to help there yearly relegation fight they deserve to go down

He's made 19 signings in 4 months. Perhaps Charlie Clapham doesn't like paying all those signing on fees?

Steve Burr. Massively over rated. Good entertainment at end of season do's though.

We were all told that Steve Burr was the best manager in the league after his good four months at Kidderminster. What's going on?

Burr was doing just fine. He's had to overhaul the squad from the shit that Andy Bishop left us with, and has had to deal with major injuries to key players. The treatment of him by our board is disgusting, and I'm really not sure what they realistically expect our club to achieve. Just when we were starting to look relatively stable as a club again this happens. We're the laughing stock of the National League and it's embarrassing.

As the laughing stock of the National League north, you have my sympathy. Could be worse, you could appoint Jim Harvey

I think we'll be claiming that title off you next season.

If we appoint Jim Harvey I will just stop going to home games, he abandoned us as a player 23 years ago and I've still not forgiven him!

I thought we were all told that Jim Harvey was supposed to be some sort of Messiah. Instead he got relegated with Halifax and then won once at Altrincham.

Jim Harvey WON A TROPHY last season, having taken charge of WHIPPING BOYS Halifax and taken them from 10 points adrift to within a post width of survival. When did Steve Burr last actually win silverware? You can't judge him on what happerned at Alty, that club is on it's knees, been in decline for years and is generally a complete shambles. Conte wouldn't keep them up.

If Coops left at any point, I would love to see Jim back here.

Obviously everyone could see that making Andy Bishop the manger was a huge mistake to begin with, but I thought they had rectified that employing Burr. There's something seriously up with the people who run your football club though isn't there? Don't they also have a history of banning journalists who dare to have an opinion they don't agree with?

That is true. One well-respected local journalist and Southport fan has previously been banned purely for writing what he thought about the running of the club, and it wasn't even libellous or provocative. I think the truth hurt.

Another local "journalist" was rightly banned after sneaking in, taking and publishing photos online when Steven Gerrard was doing some filming for a sportswear advert, which in turn breached the contract the sportswear firm had with the club for the filming. Said "journalist" then continued with a long-standing tirade against the club on his online news site, which was quite frankly embarrassing. He turned up to a cup match away at Skelmersdale and received a volley of abuse from most of the fans, which he fully deserved. He was a nasty piece of work with a bad attitude and deserved everything he got. He's dead now and very few of our fanbase cared when he passed away. He was also known for hacking into police radio and being a bit of an ambulance-chaser, all to try to get news for his website. To be fair to the club, they got it 100% right when they banned him.
