No, that's Forest Green.
Thats more the fatmans style at newcastle. Worst culprit was geroge reynolds at darlington. Even banned a 16 year old fanzie editor and got his heavies to threaten him and others on middle of night that slagged reynolds off

I really don't think Saunders job is as safe as a lot of our fans think.

Andy Hessenthaler and Steve King have both been regulars at our games this season....maybe im putting 2 + 2 and getting 5, but 2 managers who are looking for a job both being regulars at our games and with us continuing to play terrible.....it starts to make you think there's more to this...

For his sake I hope he's got another job lined up in a few months time.

Could've sworn I read, when Burr was sacked, that Preece had thrown his name in but wasn't one of the preferred targets. That said, I can understand why the preferred targets probably wouldn't have been interested!

Saturday évening.

Seriously, end of the season I reckon. He'll probably do well, then leave in May getting replaced by some inexperienced cheap option who'll last about 3 months into next season. That's how Southport usually roll.

Given recent events I honestly believe it'll be this season. The way the club operate in terms of managerial appointments isn't sustainable, as it has resulted in vast turnover of playing staff too - there is just nothing to build a side on.

Good point. Have any managers had chance to actually build there own squad. Is it owners policy to only give out 6 month contracts of not yous will be paying out fortunes in compensation

Why did Maamria leave last year? Something struck me as a bit weird, given that he pretty much guaranteed your safety.

Maamria left because he lives down south. The travelling and missing his family became too much of an issue for him. That's the reason given anyway, personally I reckon he saw sense and got out on his own terms before our chairman had another mad momemt.

All Steve Burr does is leave Stalybridge and then go back there.

Thought it was odd a guy from down south (didn't he live at stevenage) travelling so far for a part time position

Quite surprised Burr has took the Stalybridge despite his success in the past there. They'll be playing in the Evo-Stick leagues next year.

Quite a shame to see a guy highly thought of here, not make it into the Football League. Best of luck to him, but I am kinda glad now that we steered away from him in the summer or whenever it was when we had the chance. His recent history with National sides have turned him into dead rubber and needs to reignite his career somehow.

Preece seems quite a decent appointment for Southport and they've used up their alloted number of managers for the season now.

As an ex player and with the success he had at airbus he was always linked with us whenever we changed manager. I think he will do alright

Southport looking for ANOTHER manager. Watson leaves as well.

The only people remaining there are the supporters, I think!

Seems I was right as usual, apart from the "doing well" part.

News from a credible local journo regarding the identify of the new manager and investment at Alfreton

Cleethorpes Dirctor of Football is new Alfreton Town Manager

Russ O’Neills successor is former Harrogate Town assistant boss John McDermott.

McDermott, who played solely for Grimsby Town throughout his playing career, which spanned 20 years and just shy of 650 games, stepped down from his position at Harrogate due to ill health, which he is ‘now over’.

After leaving Wetherby Road in January, he linked up with close friend Marcus Newell as Director of Football of The Owls, and has helped them on the road to this years FA Vase Final, which is played this Sunday at Webley

Also joining the Reds is new investor Lee Mullen, who won the Euromillions back in 2011, and invested in his hometown club of Grimsby 4 years later.

Having donated £10,000 towards the play off final preparations, he then purchased £50,000 of shares in the club, of which he is a supporter. Having been voted onto the board, Lee then became a Director of the club later that year.

However at the start of 2017, a falling out between himself and the club saw him ‘take a back seat’ and begin watching closely local non league side Cleethorpes Town. He then brought in McDermott, who he knew being a fan of Grimsby, as the clubs record appearance maker.

With Harrogate Town making the move to full time, players are expected to arrive at the Impact through John, and join their ex-assistant manager and new investor Mullen ahead of the 2017/18 campaign. Luke Shields is one of 3 supposedly already signed for the Reds.
