How do their clubs deal with this? - no case to be answered in a criminal court but now have the rapist tag hanging over them...

That's an odd one. So the judge has ruled they raped her but no criminal charges have been brought?! All very strange. They either did or didn't. Leaves the clubs in a pickle.

I don't like the fact that the Crown decided not to prosecute for the reason I would presume as there being insufficient evidence to secure a conviction but a civil court case, which was all about compensation, can find guilt with a lesser level/amount of evidence.

As I said in my previous post Tubes...this was a Civil case where the degree of evidence does NOT have to be to the same level of a Criminal case.

Like Leo said, I'm not comfortable with it being the case that one can not be prosecuted by the crown, but can be in a civil court case for the same alleged crime. It is an odd one, as has already been said in here.

As I said in my previous post Tubes...this was a Civil case where the degree of evidence does NOT have to be to the same level of a Criminal case.

Ahh I see. I'm not au fait with the nuances and complexities of our judicial system, but it does seem a tad fucked up.

Goodwillie stated a few months back that he was bankrupt (how!?!) and couldn't pay off any compensation.
