We won't ever get a chance again to destroy them as much as next friday, their defence is an absolute shambles and to be honest their entire club is in a bit of a mess at the minute. However they do actually have some very good players, but for some reason a few of them don't even get in the squad, us losing today will benefit us even more imo as wilder will have us raring to go, we really need duffy back fit to be at our best and if he is I really do fancy us to win quite easily.
I'm never normally confident and always fear the worst in these games but due to how bad they defend I can't see them shutting us out this time.

Blades 4-1 owls sharp 2 , Clarke 1 , mcgoldrick 1, reach for them. 30,978 (2199 grunters).

Tbh I can't us shutting out anybody let alone a decent Championship team (which I admit you are).
Can only see one outcome, but funnier things have happened and it would great time for our first clean sheet of the season.
It shows where both clubs are currently at, when most Owls fans would gratefully take another draw.
If you score first it will be a long and painful night for us.

Think we’ll dominate possession, have loads of corners and a few goal mouth scrambles.
Wednesday can be very good in phases but are very inconsistent and due to confidence issues tend to collapse when they concede.

Billy Sharp was dropped for both derbies last season, so hoping he’ll play and score.
Also our most creative player Duffy has been out with a minor injury the last 2 matches and it looks like he’ll be ready to return on Friday.

In the Sheffield derby history proves that the favourite on the day doesn’t tend to win that often but I’m still going for a 1-0 or 2-1 home win.

Shitting myself, not expecting much just hope we don't embarrass ourselves. Having Forestieri and Matias back would make such a difference.

Great penalty save from the blue one wearing gloves.

Fair point, we’ve consistently struggled against teams that park the bus.
We’re becoming so Brentfordesque this season, attractive football but over passing with poor penetration. Unless we improve then the play-offs should be just out of reach.
Wednesday were so negative but credit to them, they defended really well showing great spirit, suppose it’s something for them to build on.

It’s someone messing about with some art/ graphics software.
That’s our shirt from the 13/14 season and Wednesdays shirt from the 15/16 season.

Can do this with any 2 kits, could even make a City/ Rovers half shirt.

Well we dominated that and they somehow managed to hang on for a draw, hope they're not so negative at Hillsborough. 2 points dropped UTO!

All I can say from that game is Wednesday will be bottom 6 for sure. Most negative performance I've seen in a sheffield derby.

Loving all the salty blades on the internet, we were negative and my god that was awful to watch but we made the most of what we had available. United fans seem to think we should have come and been expansive and let them turn us over, gritty deserved point United created about as much as us. First clean sheet of the season as well, hopefully give us a boost after the break. Just got to get through this season and hope we can start to sort some of the mess out in the summer.

Most of what you had available? You were utterly dreadful, managed to hold out in the 1st half somehow. We aren't anything special and you came and played as though you were away at city. I'll take a draw all day long in a derby game but in the long run it's definitely 2 points dropped for us. 2 years ago we were an absolute country mile behind you, now your coming to the lane and celebrating 0-0 draws like it's a win, shows how much things have changed so quickly.

United so superior to the Owls at the moment, despite them, spawning a point. McGoldrick should have done better.
