The Salop picked up a huge win at Brammall Lane on Tuesday night which will rest some fears amongst their fan base of an immediate struggle and drop back towards League Two. Gillingham bounced back from the drubbing at the hands of Coventry last week, with a steady but solid result at home to Rochdale on Tuesday. You would expect goals in this one.

Don't think we've ever scored at Shrewsburys new place.

Think we will though. 2-1 win.

First home game in 5 weeks. Will be interesting to see if the injuries from Tuesday have cleared. I doubt Whitbread will be fit, which would be a massive loss as he's been a key player at the back for us recently.

I'd like to think we can get something out of the game, need to start picking up points at home. I predict a 1-1 draw, the crowd just hitting 5,000 owing to the long wait for a home game. How many are Gillingham expecting to bring?

It's a bit of a trek, as our 95% of our away games, but I reckon somewhere between 450-500.

Thinking about it, other than the Wembley win I can't actually recall beating Shrewsbury home or away for years?

That's 2 goals in 3 games Oshilaja has cost us, although he also scored on Tuesday night so I guess I'll let him off. Sounds like we responded well to going behind although we need another with Coventry, Burton and Walsall all winning as things stand.

That's a case of take a point and move on to the next game.

Nothing much had happened for half an hour until Salop took the lead. Black put a long free kick into the box which the defender nodded past the keeper until a little pressure from Vernon. The goal kick started Gillingham and after the ball was almost exclusively in the Shrewsbury third for 5 minutes after our goal with several blocks and saves until the equaliser came.

Gillingham's 2nd was a good strike from outside the box. Town came into it after that without creating anything until Collins scored. I don't remember Gillingham even having a goal kick in the 2nd half!

4 points from the last 2 games is more than I expected, hopefully pick up something against Walsall on Tuesday.
