There wasn't any headbutt. The lad ran on the pitch when we scored to go 2-1 up and he from the video I've seen he put his finger up at the goalkeeper, the goalkeeper and the fan engage in pushes for a couple of seconds when the camera man drags the fan off the pitch, as he was going another of their players comes over and shoves the fan into the railings, before throwing many punches at the cameraman, causing everyone to get involved. sadly, this idiot confronting their player has cost us a valuable 3 points with Taunton drawing.

Turned very ugly very quickly. The headbutt never took place, no one who was there has mentioned any headbutt. This is the first crowd trouble we've had in the league this season of any kind besides someone running on the pitch when we scored against Tiverton back in September. Larkhall and Bridgwater had a huge 22 men scrap as well as managers and staff back in January, still, nothing happened over that as far as we can tell.

Stupid idiot causing all this, but Didcot throwing punches and assaulting fans is just as bad. Expecting a fine for this, hopefully the result will stand.

Game conpletely deserves to be replayed as clearly Hereford fans caused the trouble by running on to the pitch, regardless of what happened after.

In my experience all that will happen is Hereford will be given advice on how to control fans by the FA. At least, that was the outcome when a Boreham Wood fan ran on the pitch to punch our captain in the Isthmian Play Off final back in 2010ish.

. I'm not sure if the rules are the same in the Southern League as they are in the Ithmian League but I imagine Hereford will get a fine and a warning about future conduct of their fans

'Twas the grand old all-powerful FA that handled the process, as the Isthmian League passed the buck.

I'd imagine an event like this would also go beyond the league committee. Although the Southern League seems more competent then the Isthmian.

Devil's advocate here, but the video conveniently doesn't show the fan's initial interaction with the goalkeeper that causes the other players to rush over.

To be clear though I'm not saying that response is OK, especially when he is taking the fan away already. Just saying that the shaky camera footage means that the incident isn't fully covered.

The Southern League are generally very soft on clubs in the past. They accepted Kettering with no qualms, and were willing to accept the old Rushden & Diamonds if someone had decided to come in and run the club in the brief spell after we were officially kicked out of the conference at the AGM.

The Southern League statement has basically said that the FA are handling it and the Southern League can't do anything until the FA have spoken - I imagine this was also the case when your incident in happened with the Isthmian.

The statement in question: http://www.evostikleaguesouthern.co.uk/didcot-town-versus-hereford-35461

Kind of Yeah... the FA went "can't be arsed here is a slap on the wrist" then the Isthmian League went "Yeah what the FA said" & that was that. Didn't stop the Boreham Wood entourage causing trouble at their Conference South play off final with Whitehawk a couple of years later though.

Well, Taunton won after being behind twice and having a penalty saved but at least we've both now played the same amount of games, and are 15 ahead of them, 14 ahead of Tivvy with a game in hand. Still will win it at home to Wantage as things stand, but it's written that we win it the week before at Salisbury.

Will you be up in sunny Nailsworth? I'd have come along if we didn't have a game.

Shit game, 0-0. We had a goal ruled out but looks as if the ball did not go out of play for a goal-kick.
After the game, there were several fans from Bideford trying to engage and cause trouble but both the club and the security team at the game have praised our supporters behaviour. A 17-year-old girl was punched by one of the fans and there is also a picture of a young boy crying as it was taking place.

Wow, big game at Tiverton. Hopefully, Larkhall will get something from Taunton. They lost 10-2 last time, so they will definitely want to get something.
Tough game for us as well.

Salisbury away is all ticket for STHs only, never known anything like that before. I've known of tickets not going on general sale due to being sold out but not like this. Massive over reaction from Salisbury I feel.

We won 4-1. Crap yet again first half. Upped the tempo big time second half, and got the easy win. With Taunton losing if results went our way we could win it on Saturday at our friends Salisbury. Can't see it happening mind.

No idea what kind of standard the southern league premier is but we need to have a bloody good clearout at the end of the season.

No further action taken by the FA regarding the trouble at Didcot.
Well our club isn't having any further action.

Didcot player Sam Elkins has been banned for 5 games for his violent conduct during the trouble at Didcot. Also, their coach/assistant has been banned for 4 games. Larkhall/Bridgwater was abandoned in January after fighting on the pitch from both sets of players result was given to Larkhall so hopefully the same thing will happen. We shall see.
