Simeone stated earlier in the season Atletico had no chance of winning the league, but with the way Barca have almost threw this away (and still can) it must be hard to take to have got so close only to lose it all against a side that was relegated. Oh well hope they go on to win the Champions League.

Yeah I don't think they improve at such a great rate and looking at the scoring stats distorts that as obviously it's a different side, a much better one. He wouldn't be banging those numbers in if he went back to Liverpool and looking at goals scored it'd look like he's regressed. He wouldn't score that many for Atletico either for example, but he'd still be as good a player.
