Another striker and centre mid and we're done if the two deals on tbsle defenders sign. A good five or six of the above will be out on loan most of the season.

I didn't realise how feeble our squad really was until wrote down :conf:

Keeper
Ryan Catterick (Kid)

Defence
Matty Bates
Scott Harrison
Liam Donnelly
Josh Nearney (Kid)
Kenton Richardson (Kid)
Aaron Cunningham (Kid)

Carl Magnay (out of contract, offered new deal)

Midfield
Nicky Featherstone
Michael Woods
Nicky Deverdics
Lewis Hawkins
Jack Blackford (Kid)
Josh Hawkes (Kid)

Brad Walker (out of contract, offered new deal)

Forwards
Padraig Amond
Devante Rodney

Rhys Oates (out of contract, offered new deal)

Jeeeeeeeesssuuusssss.

So, we need a keeper, a left back, left winger, right winger, centre mid and two strikers to add to our starting 11 (assuming Amond leaves)

Then we need a back up keeper, back up left back, back up centre back, back up left winger, back up right winger, and a back up striker.

And that's only to make the squad look respectable.

Looking pretty strong, having added Dom Collins to centre-half. I fully expect at least one goalkeeper to leave, maybe even two (Jameson & Wilczynski) given our budget reduction from last season.

Hopefully we can add another centre-forward, as Saunders is only 19 (although he burst on to the scene late last season). We were quite lucky that we didn't pick up any injuries to Beck or Cartman from March onwards last season after we sold Liam Hardy back to Buxton.

Leon Scott might be replaced by an upgrade over the summer if better becomes available, but I am happy to go with him as 4th choice centre-mid for next season.

Big season ahead for Arran Wearmouth, who spent 90% of last season out injured following his summer move from Blyth. Looking forward to seeing what he can bring to the side over pre-season.

GK – Alex Lynch
DEF – Ryan Astles, Andy Halls, John McCombe, Evan Horwood, Lathaniel Rowe-Turner, James Jones (Youth)
MID – Tom Shaw, Paul Turnbull, Kingsley James, Craig Mahon, Matty Waters, Jordan Chapell, Liam Davies, Wade Joyce, Tom Crawford (Youth)
FOR – Ross Hannah, Harry White, James Akintunde, Nyal Bell, Nathan Brown (Youth)

We’re not far off done and return to pre-season training next week. We're likely to add another centre back for cover and a reserve keeper. I’d also like another central midfielder with Shaw looking to wind down this season in to his assistant manager role. I think that’s dependent on what happens with Alabi though.

Wade Joyce?? That's interesting! He was a bit part player for us the season before last and was released. Didn't realise he had joined you guys.

Was here last season, only a bit part player here as well. Only made a handful of starts when the injuries have piled up. Otherwise he occasionally comes on for the odd ten minutes here and there.

McMahon is confident of Aaron McLean and Danny Kedwell signing new deals. Hope so, as it means we won't need anymore strikers.

He reckons we'll only need another 2 or 3 more signings after them two. I'd say that's about right, as it'll take us up to 18 (with 2 more) or 19 players. Can always sign a couple of youth players to first team contracts or dip into the loan market if needed.

Our manager (Until his deal runs out in a few weeks) has tweeted this as our current squad:

Goalkeepers

Sam Sargeant
Charlie Grainger

Defenders

Aron Pollock
Myles Judd
Michael Clark
Dan Happe

Midfielders

Henry Ochieng
Steven Alzate
Josh Koroma
Charley Barker
Sam Alderson

Strikers

Victor Adeboyejo
Tristan Abrahams
Sam Dalby
Rian McLean

ALL are youth team players. Fans have asked what has happened to the three senior players we had left and he's not responding!

Two of those players actually signed new deals - Our keeper Charlie Grainger and striker Victor Adeboyejo. But of course this wasn't announced, as we don't have a media manager and our website hasn't been updated in a month :brill::dry:

Still got a bigger squad than alot of the other teams fans who've posted in here so far.

Such a shame all ours are youth teamers! Experience over numbers everytime in football!

Ability as well as experience. Essentially what we have is a bunch of kids, most who couldn't get a pro contract at any other club in this division, here on a needs must basis and third year scholars. Fantastic. Judd, Alzate and Koroma are good players at this level; couple more have potential for this level but most will end up National South. And probably with us.

Anyway, enough about Orient on this thread, we've got our own FML thread.

I'm not quite as unconfident as you in the kids: Abrahams will score goals this season, Sargeant is already borderline Conference standard and I think Adebojeyo will be a handful.

We'll still finish bottom, natch.

Real mixed bag from us. Still need another experienced midfielder and another striker and if possible another keeper really.

I would imagine after yesterday's signing, that's us done, unless we sign defensive cover.

Goalkeepers - Nathan Ashmore, Jon Miles

Defenders - Sam Magri, Marvin McCoy, Jack Connors, Bagasan Graham*, Dave Winfield (capt), Kenny Clark, Yado Mambo, Karn Miller-Neave (youth), Ollie Boulding (youth)

Midfielders - Anthony Cook, Sean Shields, Myles Weston, Luke Coulson, Dean Rance, Jack Powell, Andy Drury, Jack Payne

Attackers - Danny Kedwell, Aaron McLean, Danny Mills, Darren McQueen, Bradley Bubb (injured until end of 2017)

* wasn't sure whether to put him as a midfielder or defender. I thought he was a winger, but pretty sure he played (well too) left back against us in the play off final.

Don't think I've missed anybody out...

24 players including 2 youth players and 1 who will miss a large chunk of the season and possibly won't be able to break into the side on his return. Can see maybe Sean Shields going out on loan also. Not a bad number, and more than capable of a mid-table finish.

Christian Scales

Midfielders

Sam Alderson (MF)
Sam Dalby (ST)

Dan Happe (CB)

:bdick: Finally building a team! The FA Trophy is ours!

If Davis plays Abrahams left wing, he should be taken behind the north stand and shot.
