Don't think I've seen so many shots struck at the keeper. So much possession but little offered with it. I personally thought the first pen was 50/50 but it makes up for the Can hand ball I suppose.

It's typical of us to drop points to somebody like Sunderland after beating Man City.

Fingers crossed that United or Arsenal drop points. At least one of Chelsea and/or Spurs will drop points. 4 points from City and Sunderland isn't a bad return especially as the games are within 48 hours, but now we really need Coutinho back as Mane is off and Sturridge ankle looks dead again.

Yeah hopefully Coutinho and Matip will be back for Man Utd. It's a while off yet so plenty of time to get them fit for it, though there are cup games in between tbf.

I doubt Liverpool will make top 5 now the predicted collapse is happening and i see few wins til March.

Horrible way to draw a football match, but as stated above 4 points from the two new years fixtures is fine and it's obviously preferable to beat City while drawing at Sunderland.

The United game is huge now.

I said before the game to my mate that I was strangely more confident going into the City game, purely because we would have more to break against. Annoying to give away two penalties, especially as it was clear set pieces were the only way they were going to score.

A pisser but not the end of the world. Need at least a point at Old Trafford now, but hopefully unlike at Anfield they will try to win and we will score at least two on the break. Massive game, the difference between being 8 points or 2 points ahead of them, a genuine 6 pointer.
