Congratulations! You've been signed to a WWE developmental contract!

After years of working hard on the indy scenes, you have finally caught the eye of WWE scouts and been offered a contract.

You will be sent directly to the state of the art WWE performance center in Orlando to improve your craft. Eventually, once you are deemed ready, the WWE officials will move you onto the NXT roster... and impress there, and you'll finally find yourself on the main WWE roster! The goal of all wrestlers is to make it to the WWE... and once your here, the goal is now to become a wrestling legend and make it into the hall of fame...

But getting there will be a long road. Well, I said "Road", but actually, there are two roads...

The first is through the fans. No matter who you are, if you're good enough, the fans will respond to you. Whether it's because of superb in ring talent or playing a great character, winning them over is the key. Because at the end of the day, no matter how good you are, if the fans aren't responding to you, you aren't going to make it in this business.

And the second road is Vince Mcmahon himself. Sure, the fans can love you, but if Vince doesn't you just ain't gonna make it. Because, at the end of the day, WWE is his baby and his word is the law.

The idea is to try to gain the approval of both.

These stats will be shown in the OP under your name as OVERNESS and VINCE. Getting both of these as high as possible is the key to success.

There are a lot more rules to come. I will explain them as and when they become relevant, and try to remember to add them to this post.

NXT Roster:

I had like a week and a half. That's long enough... right? :animatedf:

But nah, this won't take anywhere near as much effort.

I think.

Hope.

It better fucking not.

Right, that's all PM's out.

To start with, just fill out those short question things and then Vince will get back to you.

A main reason I wanted to get this started now is because we're just a couple of days away from battleground, and a part of this game is based on old prediction league type things we used to do on TFF.

So I'm going to post a list of all of the matches announced so far for Battleground...

Sasha Banks and ??? vs Charlotte and Dana Brooke
The New Day vs The Wyatt Family
Rusev vs Zack Ryder
The Miz vs Darren Young
Becky Lynch vs Natalya
Cena, Enzo and Cas vs AJ Styles and The Club
Sami Zayn vs Kevin Owens
Dean Ambrose vs Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins (correct answer worth two points!)

Also, bonus points questions:
Who will be Sasha Banks mystery partner?
Which of Ambrose, Reigns and Rollins will be pinned/submit?
Select one: Brock Lesnar appears during the Highlight Reel (two points) OR Randy Orton hits Jericho with an RKO (one point)

Copy and paste that list and then, in your PM's, put in BOLD the people you think will win on Sunday.

Unless otherwise stated, all other correct predictions are worth 1 points. There are 11, possibly twelve points up for grabs there. Here's what you get based on how you do:

10 or more: 5 STAT points to spend and a small boost to Overness/How much Vince likes you.
8 points: 3 STAT points to spend.
7 points: 2 STAT points to spend.
6 points: 1 STAT point to spend.
5 or less points: NADA.

Right, the 2nd post has had a short introduction written into it now so have a look at that if you've missed it already.

Get those PM's back to me and then you can have your first meeting with Vince Mcmahon and the creative team and get working on your gimmicks/entrance themes...

Too late to join?

Nah, you can absolutely join. People can actually get added into this whenever they want... and it's good for you that you've joined so early as well, because it's still not properly started yet.

Sent you the welcoming PM.

Don't forget as well chaps... 25 hours until Battleground, so not long to get your predictions in. Any not sent by midnight tomorrow will be invalid! It's a good chance to score some nice stat boosts so don't let it pass you by...

I'm going to start this thing off properly at some point on Monday, hopefully. Though I do want to watch Battleground before doing so, to obviously be able to see who's done what with the predictions... so if I don't get around to doing that until late it may not get going until Tuesday.

But, basically, this is about how long TheMinsterman Luke and This Charming Mike have to fill in those applications if they want to be in it from the very very start... otherwise you'll just be added later and the game will start to move ahead without you to begin with.

Not all players predicted, but most of you did... and I also got a surprise prediction from JoeX4, who officially announces his entry into Superstar Wars!

With this in mind... A reminder of the points you need for the prizes:

10 or more: 5 STAT points to spend and a small boost to Overness/How much Vince likes you.
8 points: 3 STAT points to spend.
7 points: 2 STAT points to spend.
6 points: 1 STAT point to spend.
5 or less points: NADA.

And here's what y'all got:

JoeJoeJoeJoe: 11
Baz: 9
Minsterman: 8
Charming Mike: 7
Natch: 6 (Just saw that you never actually highlighted Rusev or Ryder... doh!)
Christian Slater: 6 (You never answered the bonus questions! Not a bad score considering that...)
Epic: 2

RK-JOE from outta nowhere! With his surprise entry into the game he gets the most points in the prediction game, scoring a very impressive 11 points, granting him the top prize!
Baz falls a painful point shy of this reward, but still scored a very solid 9. Still, he only gets the 3 STAT points to spend, the same as Minsterman who scored one less. Farce? Farce.
Mike gets 2 points to spend, while Natch and Slater each get 1 point each.

You can let me know where you want to assign these points in your PM. These points must be spent by 10pm on Wednesday or you will lose them! Plus the earlier you get them spent, the earlier you can start getting the benefit from them.

No predictions from:
Cas
Spirederman
Luke

It should be said... not only did they lose the chance to benefit from the possible rewards, but Vince Mcmahon likes to see people put in an effort and work hard... failure to get in those predictions may result in a small penalty in the opinion that Vince Mcmahon has of you.

The OP has been updated... and with that...

performance-center.jpg

Welcome to the WWE Performance Center!

Here is where your journey begins. You will work here with trainers such as Matt Bloom, Robbie Brookside and recovering WWE superstars to maximise your abilities and eventually make it to NXT. While working hard and impressing here will do great with regards to how highly Vince Mcmahon thinks of you, you will have next to no exposure to the WWE Universe and so your overness will not really see much improvement.

PM's will be sent shortly (by shortly I mean probably in like an hour... or tomorrow ) to discuss the creative side of things with you...

Also, it was decided that we had too many heels. As a result, creative have decided that JoeJoeJoeJoe, while he'd rather be a heel, would be a good fit for a face, so will be a babyface superstar.

Before I go, I just want to have a quick word about how you conduct yourself to Mr Mcmahon (as in, how you talk in your PM's)...

This effects things more than you may suspect. Mr Mcmahon puts a lot of stock on how people conduct themselves and his opinion of you can and will (and, actually HAS for some of you so far) be altered by your general conduct in your PM's.

Speak to him abruptly or with disrespect and he won't like it.

Show him respect and he will be pleased.

Show him too much respect and he'll think you're kissing his ass and that you're weak.

Vince likes people who aren't afraid to stand up for what they believe in. However, he also doesn't like people to show him disrespect... look at what happened to Titus O'Neil, for example...

It's a case of trying to find that middle ground of showing him the respect he wants, while also not coming across as a total pushover.

Bare this in mind when you get your creative meeting PM's... and whenever you use your PM's in generally, really.

Right, you should have all received your creative meeting updates in your PM. You've all been given a selection of two possible gimmicks... feel free to discuss these gimmicks with Vince and get creative. Perhaps bring your own spin to it or make suggestions. If you like one, let Vince know.

And yes, some of the gimmicks ARE poor. In fact, one of you probably got offered the worst one going. But "turn chickenshit into gold", as the saying goes... turn something poor into something great and it'll look much better than doing well with a relatively simple gimmick. Think of how you want to make the gimmicks work.

Or, alternatively, you could reject them both... which could turn out ok, but Vince often doesn't like being told no...

I'll set a deadline of 3pm Wednesday for you to sort this out. Anybody who's sorted by then will be involved in the very first performance center show. Anybody else will be left behind but can join in when they're good to go. This isn't a necessarily strict deadline, there will be no penalty for missing it... you'll just start a little behind the others, is all.

Also, fear not, these gimmicks don't necessarily have to be the be all end all of your character in WWE. Wrestlers change gimmicks all the time... there may be chances to change it later in your career. This is simply a starting point.

Right, many of you have got your gimmicks sorted already, this is good to see.

While the first few matches won't take place until tomorrow, the game is going to start... RIGHT NOW!

Because there are a couple of things that need doing before the matches anyway...

So this is how the game will generally run, at least for now:

At the moments each "turn" is one month. And each month, the following things will happen, in this order:

First, random events will occur. These could be anything... good or bad.

Then, random NPC characters will get random boosts or decreases to their wrestling ability, VINCE scores (how much vince likes them) and OVERNESS (how much the fans like them). This is to create a constantly dynamic, moving WWE universe where certain superstars popularity and pushes will rise and fall, as in real life.

Then the weekly shows will run. At the moment, this only involved the performance center stuff you guys will be doing. When NXT comes into play, there will be one NXT show per month. When you join the main WWE Roster, there will be a Raw and a Smackdown (there is no brand split here...) and you will have one match per show. Yeah, only two shows/matches in a month... but whatever

Finally, each month will end with the PPV.

So coming up... the random events.

July 2016 - Random events

Epic has been on fire in training recently! He gains +3 Wrestling Ability.

Roman Reigns was generally seen as bring a pretty decent guy backstage... but apparently this has not been the case as of late. Perhaps recent success has gone to his head.

Cas has been training extra hard recently. He gains +1 skill point to spend! (let me know where you want to spend it in your 3PM by the deadline tomorrow!)

Dean Ambrose wrestling skills have been getting better as of late. Dean Ambrose gains +5 to his Wrestling ability.

NXT's Chad Gable apparently did something to piss off Vince Mcmahon backstage at a live event... we're not sure what it is he did, but Vince loses a bit of respect for him as a result.

Spirederman has been given extra time to practice his skills this month... he can choose either +3 Wrestling ability, or +1 to his bumps.

Bray Wyatt seems to be moving backwards in terms of his in ring ability... he loses 5 Wrestling Ability.

NXT's Mikey Nicholls loses 5 overness... people don't seem to care as much about him anymore.

So some stuff to discuss, after those events...

Yes, all other NPC wrestlers have stats. They have their own VINCE ratings, Overness ratings and Wrestling ability... and some of them have "traits", too. For example, Roman Reigns had the "good" trait, that meant that he was a pretty decent guy and would generally get along with you if you happened to come across him backstage. However, wrestlers can gain and lose these traits as the game moves on... and Reigns has lost it.

NPC Vince/Overness/WA stat changes can happen in the monthly events too... these are basically bonus changes, and these can actually affect you, the players, as well.

In addition to these, there will be 3 boosts and 3 decreases for each stat (Vince, Overness and WA) just for the NPC's. These are coming up next...

Tomorrow you're all going to have your first matches. You'll be paired off together and go have a bunch of 1 on 1's. At the end of the day, you have to be able to deliver in the ring... the middle W does stand for "Wrestling", after all. And on the back of these performances, you will win over (or lose...) the favour of Vince Mcmahon and the WWE Universe.

Here's how matches go in this game...

Your Wrestling Ability and your opponents Wrestling Ability are rolled on a dice type scenario... for example, if you have a WA of 37, you'll roll for a score between 1 and 37. The same happens for your opponent, and the scores are combined and then divided by 2 to get an average of how both of you have performed... this average will be the match rating.

You will never see the exact score of the matches, but will instead see a grade from an F to an A*.

For reference, an "ok" match that's not particularly good or bad would score a D. A good match is a C, a great match is a B and a match of the year contender is an A. Meanwhile, a poor match is an E while an F is a complete, Lesnar vs Goldberg level, disaster.

As you're just starting out, you won't be judged so highly in the performance center... the standards required for grades of matches are lower for this part. Once you hit the big time though, the standards are raised and you'll find it more difficult to have great matches... though the opponents you'll be facing in the ring are also of a much higher standard as you move up through the rosters, so that should help to balance it out.

Bare in mind, if you score well and the opponent does not, you will be recognised as having tried and being let down by your opponent, so your penalties won't be so harsh. However, the match will still suck and you will still be held slightly accountable!

Right, not entirely sure how free I'll be at 3, so I'm going to do some of those performance center matches a little early. If Cas and Luke both manage to get their gimmicks and things sorted in the next 40 minutes they will face each other later, but if not, they won't get a match this week.

Here is who you will each be facing in the first month of performance center matches:

Minsterman vs Joe

Charming Mike vs Christian Slater

Natch vs Baz

Spirederman vs Epic

Here are the results of those first matches. At this stage, overness is not really a factor as you're not wrestling in front of a crowd, you're simply trying to impress the coaches.

As to the results of the matches, they're not really important at the end of the day... however, it may give an indication of which of the two is viewed more favorably in Vinces eyes.

Minsterman vs Joe

A pretty decent showing from Minsterman here while Joe did an ok job. Joe got the win via pinfall after an impressive powerbomb.

Match Rating: D.

Charming Mike vs Christian Slater

This Charming Mike actually put in a superb performance in this match, but Christian Slater seemed to have an off day and it really dragged the match down. The match went to a double countout.

Match Rating: D+

Natch vs Baz

Natch was great here, but again like in the previous match, a great performance was held back a little by the opponent having a bit of an off day. Baz picked up a convincing win in the end.

Match Rating: C-

Spirederman vs Epic

Epic is probably the most gifted wrestler in the class right now, but he probably put in the worst performance of the day. Luckily, Spirederman did a solid enough job to drag this match up from being a complete disaster. Epic was given the win.

Match Rating: D

Some solid enough matches to kick things off. A few poor performances from individuals this month, but all of the matches were saved by the opponent. It just so happened that the worst performers in 3 of the matches were the ones who were booked to win.

Overall though, you are all still a ways off of graduation.

July 2016 in WWE:

The Battleground PPV was headlined by a Dean Ambrose vs Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins triple threat. Dean Ambrose managed to pick up the win and retain the WWE championship.

End of July!

Right, a few more things:

You all get paid! The rate of pay at the performance center is £100 per month, so expect to see that in in the OP soon! As well as details about the shop and what you can use that money on. Of course, the money you'll earn will increase dramatically as you rise through the roster.

You all need a finishing move. Try to base it on what type of wrestler you want to be and your stats. We don't want somebody with low strength and high agility saying that they use a Last Ride, for example. Let Vince know what move you'd like to use in your PM's.

Also, you're all going to get a chance to introduce your characters. In your PM's, cut a short promo to introduce your character to the others. Good promo skills are important, impress here and you'll do wonders in regards to graduating onto the NXT roster. Try not to babble on though... make it too long and it will count against you.

The promo's will be shown during monthly shows.
