Ashley Williams is a overrated soon to be 32 year old with a dodgy knee, and he wanted to leave. No where near as much of a loss as some people are portraying - think Jordi Amat will turn out to be quite a bit better.

They've gone for a policy of getting good talent from abroad rather than overpaid cast offs from the domestic league, I think they'll be just fine.

The good talent from abroad consists of a striker who has been good at one club in his career thus far and has been piss poor at scoring at Sevilla, an uninspiring record at Juve and really even his record at Bilbao is worse than 1 in 3 which isn't exactly blowing anyones mind and that was during his best period. And then there's a guy who has a decent record in the last 2 seasons but one of those was with Zaragoza in Liga Adelente.
Now they could form a good partnership and bang them in, but they're hardly assured goals are they?
I agree abouut Williams, maybe it was an off season but he was absolute pish last season and I think Wales performances in the Euros have blinkered people a bit.

Dodgy knee? Ashley Williams has missed a total of 9 league games since 2008.

Actually 10 since he didn't play for Everton last week.

Borja Bastón's name means ''Borja walking stick'' in Spanish.

I mean, that can't bode well, but it is marvellous.

The fans will be pleased to see them going for some proven quality to take over the reigns.

They should have made more of an effort to get Rodgers back before he went to Celtic. He has his limitations but they'd never go down with him.

Why? Their squad is shit and has gotten progressively worse since he left. Theyve no proven striker and sold their captain. I dont see what Rodgers would do for them. Unless you think his presence would have helped in the transfer market, which I see no reason to believe.

Shut up Pag, Rodger's wouldn't have a clue how to turn around a team going backwards and in danger of going down.

Guidolin's old school knowledge is the only thing keeping us up, I just can't accept that story is true, it can't be.

Exactly how and why Hal Robson-Kanu managed to get a contract at a Premier League club.

Not sure how Giggs will manage Swansea if he can't be in Wales for more than a couple of hours at a time.

It seemed Swansea were being run so well. Had a proper philosophy. They have then seen the dollar signs and panicked. Abandoning what made them successful

Guidolin sacked (on his birthday!) and replaced by Bob Bradley.

A shame. After their display on Saturday, I'm surprised he wasn't given a few more games at least to see if it could be built upon. In that first half they put up a better display of football than any of Arsenal, Spurs or Chelsea did against us. We really had to dig deep. This season will be a real struggle for them now.

To be fair Bradley is a much better choice than Ryan Giggs.

Swansea will be ok, I definitely think Hull, Burnley, Middlesborough, Sunderland and us are weaker than them

I feel for Guidolin (as much as you can for a highly paid football manager) because frankly the squad he's got is fucking pap. He did pretty well to keep them afloat last season and the side has gotten worse now.

This has the feel of another disastrous American ownership. They made a profit in the transfer window by not strengthening and despite a couple of good performances against sides near the top, bring in a fellow Yankee with no experience at PL level. Supporters Trust weren't involved in the decision, to their dismay. Huw Jenkins seems to have a lot to answer for...

Not sure its going to inspire a lot of confidence really but a change does sometimes boost a team (and they have us soon!)

Swansea looked alright against Liverpool. Had no idea Guidolin was under so much pressure.

Bob Bradley has done nothing at Le Havre despite having very comfortable funds to strengthen what is one of the country's best youth academies. Very risky move. I sincerely doubt Swansea would have gone down under Guidolin.

He's been treated disgracefully. As you say he & Curt combined steadied the decline season, he's then had his best players sold and not replaced and had his job interviewed for whilst still at the club. He'll heavy a steady wedge but doesn't disguise how crap he's been treated. Fucked right off with the club atm, they've ruined it.

Can't believe Guidolin was under the pressure he was, only one win this season but from what I've seen the performances haven't been bad. Don't see how Bob Bradley is any better of an appointment, his only real experience of managing in Europe is a brief spell at Le Havre. Be interesting to see how this pans out, but it's got a struggle written all over it now.

He qualified for the Europa League with Stabaek.

Well we're not recovering from where we're at so as of November you can safely say we're down. I'm pretty confident we'll do well in the championship so a year out may actually do us good in the long term.
