You don't need to worry about us making the play offs.

That surely has to be the record in the whole football league.
There's a bloke called Jerry who runs the supporters coaches for us who hasn't missed a game for 40 years. Fell out with his family a few years ago over it as he refused to go to his brothers wedding because we had Bolton away.... we went 0-2 up early doors and ended up losing 3-2

Looking at remaining fixtures of us, Bradford, Millwall and Scunthorpe. Us and Bradford have the easiest remaining fixtures on paper Scunny's next few games are Oxford (a), Bradford (h) Millwall (a) Bolton (h) playing like they are at the moment if we were to catch any of the sides above us it looks to be them. Our next 4 are Walsall (h) AFC W (a) Oldham (h) Bolton (h) 3/4 homes games and we've only lost once since August I think at home.
If we are going to catch Scunny it needs to happen in the next 4 games but personally I don't think we are playing well enough at the moment.
Bradford are picking up good points now and Millwall's home form should see them through.
Think play offs will end up
Fleetwood
Bradford
Millwall
Scunny

We'll miss out by 2/3 points.

We are hanging in there and a great win to bounce back at Walsall but Bolton looking really strong now and take some stopping.

Bradford impressed me at Fleetwood and be handful for anyone in a playoff but wouldn't surprise me if they went close to automatic.

Realistically I think auto's are out of our reach for us, Bolton to sew that up from now on in which I wouldn't mind too much based on them being the only ones I'd really fear in the PO's

Bolton the best side I've seen all year, no real weaknesses other than their keeper who looked a bit flappy, but we rarely got past their Stoke-esque defence enough to properly try him out. Them and the Blades for the autos, still fancy Millwall for the play-offs.

I think Milwall are the team to watch out for at the playoffs, as last season showed.

I think Sheff Utd / Bolton top 2 then Milwall going up via playoffs

No match thread for us but fucking what a result for the lads. Half time yesterday 2 down season over come back and score 3 above Millwall now and closer to Scunny. That's the sort of result that get the team going on a proper run

We're playing like absolutely shit. We've completely lost our scoring boots. We've dropped points to about five or six relegation strugglers over the last six weeks alone.

But we're unbeaten in the league since mid-December. We've conceded something like two goals in 13 league games.

This fucking league is shit (obviously). Part of me wants us to miss out on the play-offs because we'd just embarrass ourselves when we face off against a half-decent side again. Harris can't set us up like this for a third season running, it's painful to watch.

Everytime we have threatened, we have just completely bottled the next game or so.

Big game for Bolton tonight, win and they will defiantly go up automatically. Lose however and pressure can be a funny old thing.

You might well be right on the 3-0 but if we play like we did on Saturday then you have it the wrong way round.

Never mind that's the top 2 sewn up, top 2 budgets I'd guess as well so no real surprise. Battle is on for the playoffs now, still all to play for.

Not us, the wage bill is still a carry over from the premiership (yes, our previous chairman had players on 5 year contracts, with i think 5 of those still at the club on between 10 and 18,000 a week), we haven't spent money on players transfer fees for a bit now, so in relative terms our actual league one budget is pretty average

I'd be massively surprised if Bolton didn't have one of the biggest budgets. Our budget isn't small and they were directly outcompeting us for players.

It depends on your perspective, we have the largest wage bill by far but 5 players take up around 4-5 mill of that, and these players are still on the prem/1st season in championship wages, the rest of the squad (around 18 players) are a combined total of around 5 million. We haven't spent any money on transfers, and the loan players we have are being paid 50% by their parent club. With the finacial issues we have had the last 5 years, our budget on playing staff isn't as great as you'd think.
