We've been bobbing along most of the season, not exactly a rapid descent. Been regularly terrible, but still haven't been in the bottom 4, which says a lot for how shit those around us are as well, mostly Bury, Vale and Oldham.

Worry for Gills is us 3 are starting to pick up... all be it us later than Bury and Oldham... win for us tonight and it will really spice things up in the battle to avoid the drop.

Well... you say this and we have played alright of late away from home (bar conceding late goals costing us a few points!) but... Coventry's 1 away win this season was at our place!

We have won 3 of the last 6 though, despite being terrible. Not the worst form in the world by any means. 2 more wins from the last 7 and we'll stay up is my feeling, and I'd already written off Bolton and Rochdale before they kicked off! I think we'll get 4 points from Posh and MK, leaving only a couple to pick up for the remainder of the season for safety.

Never know with Vale... we always lose to trams in dire form or at the bottom and Coventry are currently in both positions at the moment!

Things haven't gone our way away from home since the turn of the year.

Bar a comfortable defeat at Millwall, you witnessed our draw with yourselves... we conceded a 95th minute equaliser after barely being threatened all game by Gillingham, at Northampton our keeper let a miss-hit cross fly in before losing the game when same said keeper flapped at Taylor's 30 yarder in the last minute, lost 3-2 at Scunny after twice leading and conceding a penalty that never was and Alnwick got caught in no mans land after our two centre halves clashed going for the same header!

No matter what happens we just cant seem to buy a win away from home... this will cost us dearly and tonight is massive for us. If we do win, then the maths are simple... match Shrewsbury's points total (having an extra game to do it) and we will stay up.

Brown has signed plenty of experience to give it a go at least with Ryan Taylor back, Andre Bikey in line for his debut tonight if fit enough, Chris Eagles, Jerome Thomas (if fit), himself if needed... its like a Premier League Grandad's team!

We move our MK game to Saturday which really fucks us up. Hooper injured in warm up, Purkiss injured adding to the long list. We have 35 players but barely 11 fit!

Sorry to gloat Vale fans, but we beat someone and I can't believe it.
How sad I am, but by god this season has been hard.
We are absolute tripe, so I'm concerned for Vale. We have possibly the worst nine players in the league, I feel two would get into another team in this league but the other nine wouldn't get into the Kings Head reserves Sunday eleven.

Reverend you may have nine of the worst players but at least they give a hoot.
One of the most abject, spineless, gutless performances i can recall, and there is a long list to choose from !!
The bizarre thing for me is that as players Michael Brown and Chris Morgan were horrible nasty pieces of work, yet our team does not give a damn.
I can forgive poor play, what i can't forgive is lack of heart or effort.
5 of our last 7 are away , the 2 homes are Bolton and Sheff Utd.
The fat lady is clearing her throat, see you next season.

Darrren, I can honestly say the lack of effort and fight has been the most disappointing part of this season.
At least Robins has got them doing this now but for the whole season under our 3 other managers they have strolled around not giving a dam about the club or fans and it hurts like hell to watch them.
I have hope for next season now Robins is here because he simply won't put up with there shit and I'm sure when most of them are shown the door in the summer and they have to give back their big shiny top of the range cars, that they can no longer put on Facebook showing them off, they will really regret this season especially when they are playing for Stalybridge and driving a Vauxhall Corsa

Love it!

Coventry gave their all, pretty much played how we have the past few weeks whilst we went back to Bruno times.

Reid was quality for you and you closed us down, our best two performances came from Smith and Shopido, unsurprisingly two youngsters. If it wasn't for Smith at the back we'd have got a pasting. Smurf can buy another top motor with this sale too in the summer!

The 2 teams with the youngest squads and plenty of loans are both in the bottom 4. Power wont change a thing for next season - not even that useless turd, Williams as manager.

God, I'd like to kick him in the cnut.

You've got to play us at home yet and we're not so good there at the moment.
If your an oxford fan we have lost our last 3 meeting away to them 2 1. Also got play chesterfield away only won there once since 1989 and must have played them about 15 times away since.

Vale will beat MK on Saturday. One of our only two clean sheets this season was at home to MK. No cutting edge at all and the Wombles demolished them the other week.

Vale's away form must be a mental thing as they have always been strong at home.

It sounds like our defence will be coming straight from the Kiddies playgroup this Saturday as we have six defenders out. Having conceded four in each of our last two games, it is hard to believe they will be any worse, but anything is possible at the moment.

Will be very much a skeleton Vale XI with the injuries so will be very tough.

Our away form has been dreadful since we came up to League One to be honest, this despite our promotion from League Two being mainly down to incredible away form by our standards losing only 4 away in 12/13!

If it comes down to a straight battle between Gills and Charlton I'll give you £100. My money is still well and truly on Oldham.

Yeah, the fact you think next season will be our 'third straight season' in League One leads me to ignore most of what you have written.

That's not to say I don't think we'll go down, we very well may. I'm thinking at the moment though that 5/6 more points should be enough.
