The only light on the horizon is the possibility of the Supporters Trust buying the ground - hopefully the start of evicting Power.

There would be zero chance of bouncing back next season with the 3 amigos still 'running' the club.

In a truly shit league, to get relegated is beyond carelessness - it's criminal.
Off the council? They own it don't they?

Yeah. somewhere in the region of £1.5m which is very cheap. A wealthy fan left 2 mllion in his will but the trustees have pretty stringent conditions on what the money can be used for.

Personally, I'd employ the world's best hitman and get rid of the fat turd.

I suppose it would be a start but the CG is a ground that needs some serious work. Both ends are shocking WTGR and seriously lacking in the space needed to develop. Without losing part of the car park, I guess you can't do anything with the town end and the site ends behind the away terrace doesn't it?

Not sure what the footprint would include. The club have always been responsible for the maintenance as they actually own the infrastructure but council own the land it's on. The TE is an embarrassment and apart from the seats hasn't changed a jot since I used to stand behind the bog wall in 1968.

God knows where we go from here - Braintree probably.

Relax people, the bottom four are done. The Vale wunna pick up a point away, Swindon are equally shit, bottom 2 down.
Gills winning today has kept them up.
Shrews and bury have players who can score, and Oldham will stay by the skin of their arse as they always do.
I hate the 4th division, I really do.
I just hope that in 12 months time I'm not lamenting us falling into non-league.

Bolton, Southend or Northampton - one of them three need to be seriously shit to lose to us at the moment. We have zero confidence. I've put money on us to go down at 11/4 so should get a nice payday. I really can't see us picking up another point.

Where's the "money" gone?

Looks tight there for a lot of sides.

With Doncaster, Plymouth and Portsmouth going up (or being very likely to) the good thing about league 2 next season is there isn't any "massive" clubs - added that Luton and Carlisle are currently both in the playoffs could get rid of one more.

The one positive as little as it is that unlike our last spell there where you had Bradford, Plymouth, Vale, Rotherham, Gills, Bournemouth etc this time we will go down and certainly ourselves and Swindon and Coventry especially if Tranmere don't come up have to fancy giving it a go looking at the clubs in it.

Doesn't work like that though but sensible recruitment and a quick return can be done.

That's the key isn't it and exactly why if the idiot is still here I think we would be looking at the other end of the table. If he's still here both in managerial appointments and our recruitment policy last summer inspire no confidence. For the record I wasn't against letting the players go last summer or indeed signing foreign players but on the proviso we'd scouted them properly when instead it's become obvious he just put his trust in some dodgy agent instead hence paying Mbamba some ridiculous wage for his extremely limited talent.

Haven't been here for a while.

Popped in to say that going down probably wouldn't be the end of the world for us to be honest.

Get a decent manager in, revamp the entire squad and bring back some positivity to the club.

Good points, I mean take today against the Blades, think we finished on about the same points last year yet they improved their squad and we tore ours apart and look at the difference today (yeah the few million quid extra budget probably helps too mind)

It's a colossal mess, if we can keep Bikey and Smith somehow we'd look very solid at the back and keep Eagles and Foley would be a start.

Need to sort the issue we've had since the departure of his holiness though... the lack of a striker!!! JJ might be much better in league two... not sure Reg will become Pele there though and Turner is raw. Strange as it sounds I wouldn't completely trash the whole squad, there's some decent bits of it.

Can see you beating Northampton to be honest. Millwall gave them a pasting yesterday and Edinburgh may even rest a few with a view to attempting to relegate us on the final day. Your goal difference could still be your saviour.

If we could sneak a point from either the Charlton or Fleetwood games I would be feeling more relaxed but we have a history of being awful on the last day of the season when playing away so we need to be safe before then.

I know we have been gone from this level for a good 15 years but when did you all get together and decide Doncaster and Rotherham were big clubs?

No thanks, happened to us against Bristol City a couple of years ago. Don't fancy watching another clinch the title against us, thank you Oldham.

Well done. You deserve safety for that run alone although 30 goals scored in 43 league games tells another story. That keeper and defence have obviously been immense whereas ours have often resembled the Keystone Cops.

Of course it helps having the likes of Clarke and Gerrard at the back, and having the best keeper in the league, but those goalscoring stats lie firmly at the feet of Stephen Robinson. I genuinely believe if we had Sheridan all season, we'd be playoff material, the form since he's come in justifies that.

There's time yet! God knows why, but I've been persuaded to go to Walsall tomorrow.

The only place I've ever been arrested.

Us letting Peter Clarke go to Oldham epitomises everything wrong with Bury FC. He was our player of the year and we let him go to a relegation rival, it's ineptitude beyond belief.

When we go down we are finished. The last chapter of a once proud club living within its means, beating the big boys on a shoestring budget. 2 FA Cup wins, 61 years in the top two divisions (22 in the first) all turned to dust.
Administration as soon as the final whistle blows on game 46.

Soil samples are already taking place on the site of the ground, with the club shop due to be demolished in the coming months. The start of the demolition of Gigg Lane.

A lot has been said about the running of Leyton Orient (rightly so) but I don't think it will too long before we are making the national headlines (again) for the wrong reasons.

Stewart Day a 30 something property developer has been to court more times than we've had wins this season, has multiple failed businesses and we are projected to be in around £8M of debt, astronomical for a club with an average home fans attendance of 3,000.

That's Oldham pretty much safe. Us, Swindon, Shrewsbury or Bury to take the last two relegation slots.
