You'd have to hope so. But if any new fella is as hamstrung by Power as to what his role is, not much will change.

Essentially, it's Power that needs to change - or, preferably, fuck right off.

Long term gains.

Never really understood why there's been so much animosity towards Williams. Everything's controlled by Power. Transfers, media, style of play, club set-up. The fitness is of course down to the coaches, other than that he's completely had his hands tied.

It's all well and good getting rid of Williams, but like you say if Power hasn't learnt anything then it won't make a blind bit of difference.

If Power still wants to keep things the same way, it doesn't matter who gets the job, nothing's going to change.

The most sensible/realistic name mentioned so far is Alan McCormack who has just left Brentford as player/manager. Failing that 'sort', take a chance on an up and coming non league type. As long as it isn't just a Williams type replacement, there is a glimmer of hope

Looks like Chelsea's U23 coach and our ex-player Adi Viveash is our new man in charge. Some talk of that old scummer cnut Horton as DoF.

Brian Horton? Phil Browns number 2 for years... one of our takeover bids involves him returning as DOF if successful.
