Swindon's next 5 games read as follows:

Oldham (H)
Coventry(A)
Gillingham (H)
Chesterfield (H)
Port Vale (A)

If they're still in the bottom 4 after that run then I can't see any way back for them.

For you guys who may be coming down with us, would you take a last game survival and stay in this division or go down and have a total clear out of the dross who wear your proud colours, as they could stay on if you survive.
Our players this season have been a total disgrace wearing the shirt, no fight, no passion, no will to roll up their sleeves and fight for every loose ball, absolutely nothing. They are more interested in putting pictures of their new cars they have just got on bloody facebook.
So I am actually relieved in a strange way that when we go down the club will have to really shake the squad up, most are on contracts till season end so they know they are going anyway. I cant stand another season watching a bunch of overpaid fairies running around pretending to represent our proud city.
So if it has to be done lets go down and shake the club up, its a total mess as most of you know, and if it takes a few seasons down there lets get things in place with young hungry players giving their all every match

Going down and clearing out worked for us a couple of years back, we appointed Mellon and won promotion the following season. I recall we only had 5 or 6 players retained from the relegation squad, some being youth players. Mellon brought in pretty much a whole squad of players and we finished 2nd behind Burton Albion.

Having said that, it didn't work out for Mellon so Paul Hurst came in and at a good time too. He had time to assess the squad before January then when the transfer window opened we have adjusted the squad and results have improved drastically.

Obviously respect your views but we need drastic change at the club and that won't happen if we stay up.
You never know and this would be paradise even SISU might think it's time to sell and cut their losses as well.
My club won't change if we stay up we will just extend the players we have contracts so it will be just another season of hell.
SISU know season ticket sales will plummet next season so at last they will have to do something, whether it works I don't know but they will have to try whatever.
I want to see us blood our excellent under 21/23 squads at last, I hate seeing players with no emotion for the club try and act like professional footballers.
Give them a go, they are mostly Cov lads so at least we will have passion at last.

Each of those are 'relegation 6 pointers'. However we have lost at Bury and Northampton so no guarantee we can pick up points in those games. On paper I'd be confident of getting 9 points from those games but the way we are playing we'll be lucky to get 3

Which one of you lot wants to stay up? We clearly don't and are desperate to claim one of the four spots as soon as possible.

We are down. Failing to beat Bristol Rovers today sees us drop into the bottom four. Rovers were easily the poorest side to visit us since Chesterfield and if we can't win that today then there's no hope for us.

2 points from Vale, Chesterfield and Coventry, dismal.

On the plus side, Ady Pennock has set a club record today, first manager in the history of Gillingham FC to not win in his opening seven matches. Congratulations Ady.

Wouldn't be surprised if we don't win another game this season. We never looked like scoring and had to rely on a Rovers defender for a point today, league 2 here we come.

It's strange that the teams in the bottom 4 are all decent L1 clubs - Coventry excepted who should not be rubbing shoulders with the rest of us. Are we all being screwed over in the boardroom? I've already downed 4 bottles of Southwold Winter Ale and a bottle of Pinot.

Why are there so many smaller clubs doing so much better? I'm going for a nap.

Good luck and fuck ya!

Oh well. Not enough. Don't think we've got enough in the locker required to stay up. Long summer ahead, fuck cricket and golf.

Now we're in the bottom four I don't see us moving out of it for the remainder of the season. Truth be told though in comparison to when we last went down I remember being genuinely angered at the club but this time I couldn't care less. All interest and enthusiasm there ever was for Vale has disappeared over time. The club simply are not worth peoples time and effort while the idiot remains the chairman.

Could so easily be talking about Swindon Town.

What's happened to all the Vale fans that showed up when they beat us earlier this season? They were pretty arrogant that day, weird that they've vanished.

The same Vale fans that said, after we beat them in September, that they'd bend us over in the return game. Fair play they did absolutely smash us 1-1 today.

Problem is and reason why we look doomed has been highlighted over the past week or so. Ok comfy defeat against Millwall expected but Gillingham and Bristol Rovers were both pretty pants against us and in both we were 1-0 up and cruising with little threat coming at us... we've won neither and that's simply down to our lack of ability to see out and win games regardless of how bad the opponent is on the day.

We are in deep trouble and Lady Luck is massively kicking us. Losing Streete and De Freitas was bad enough. Today Tyler Walker comes on and does his medial ligament in less than a minute which left us no attacking threat... add to that Knopps our only other centre half that's fit other than Smith picks up his 10th yellow so we now face Bradford with 1 central defender available!

If we can't win games like today and last Saturday then your pretty much going one way.

3 wins in 21 games and need 5 in the last 15 which is a big ask.

As alluded in posts above the worst thing is no one at Vale seems to be that arsed such is the flatness around the place due to the current chairmans attitude.

Gillingham are in real trouble based on today's performance, may have been a one off but judging by comments are here I fear it isn't.

First half they were nowhere, literally offered nothing and defensively they were a shambles. A decent team would have finished them off in the first half.

Second half we just sat back and they maybe deserved to score a second but we battled well.

Only judging on today but I'd be surprised if they stayed up, then again everyone at the bottom is awful so who knows.

According to our commentary we made you look like world beaters in the first half, improved in the second but the damage was already done. I think most of our fans are fully aware we're deep in the shit.

Also I'm getting pissed off with our managers post match comments, after the Vale game he said he was booing the performance at the end. Today he's said, 'they can't defend to save their lives'.

Its your fucking job to make sure the performance is good and the defending adequate. Not particularly motivational either.

There's not one positive thing about us as a side at present.

Pennock has not improved the perfomances of the side one iota since taking over. We still can't defend and only look able to score from set-pieces. Our strikers (ha!) may as well go on holiday now, they wouldn't be missed. Also given our total inability to keep a clean sheet we need to score at least two goals a game to stand even an outside chance of win, I wouldn't trust us to beat our U12s at the minute.

One away goal in 13 hours of football, stuck on 39 points, we might be about to have our first ever relegation.

I think you'll be ok. Today you should've had at least a point. I thought Wimbledon caused us problems and at 80 minutes I could see only one winner and it wasn't us.

First half you started really well until we got to grips with you so it was a fairly even half. We should've had a penalty (definitely inside the box!) then right on half time two excellent chances for Wimbledon, the brilliant effort from long range that hit the bar and the one that went across the face of goal seconds afterwards. And a disallowed Elliott goal which to be honest I saw nothing wrong with. Think the ref was signalling a push maybe?

Second half was a scrappy affair and the ref didn't help the game. We got the goal via a deflected free kick and Wimbledon equalised from a Leuts goalkeeping error. As the match drew to a close we were hoping Salop would see it out for a 1-1 draw when Toto popped up with the winner.

On the whole you defended rather stubbornly and we didn't get too many sights of goal. Up top Elliott was a real handful and your set piece delivery was excellent.

Dan, big game for both of us next week, it's a must win for both sides. If we can somehow beat you and we win our game in hand we will be back in the pack.
It seems our players are playing for starting roles in the tinpot cup final which can only help us.
Funny if it is the thought of playing in the shit cup final that could save us.

We have lost 12 points this season ifrom injury time equalisers , I'm still gutted about Tuesday's last kick equaliser from the Wombles, these type of stats relegate clubs

Mate we've got Conor Thomas, hope you've got someone to cope with his shocking control and general lack of quality or you won't be winning.

How many do you think are going down? As reading this thread, 7 or 8 of you all seem certain you're going down.

I'm going to take a wild stab in the dark and say 4. If we don't get relegated something has gone wildly awry with the other 6 or 7 you allude to!
