Forest green is in nailsworth near to stroud we beat them away in the cup about 5 years ago 3 2 729 vale fans were there.

Take it from a Gashead it might be classed as near Stroud but it's definitely closer to being middle earth than anything that resembles a town, full of Hobbits, witches and weirdos.....

Tonight's Vale win has put a cat amongst the pigeons.

I'd say Swindon, Chesterfield and Coventry are down

BUT there's so many teams that could fall into the final relegation spot.

I'd say 14th place Northampton should be safe
But any club from 15th place Charlton downwards still has plenty to play for.

Still think it'll be Oldham, their run in looks horrible until the last couple, but it might be too late by then.

Wouldnt be suprised if we were the ones to drop, the recent wins have only papered over the cracks as the performances have been beyond woeful

Five huge games and all very winnable if we can play as we have recently. Three wins and we will be on 50 points going into some tougher fixtures. Beat Coventry then we've got to fancy ourselves to survive.

Injuries are not helping but the lads are giving 100% and the quality of the likes of Eagles is helping massively, if Ryan Taylor can play as he did on his return and the injuries clear up a bit we might just pull this off.

Got to agree vf16 beat cov and it's on, what we lack in quality, we are making up for in heart.
We don't look a doomed side as we did a month ago.
Gonna be an interesting few week

Looking at the league table its likely that our relegation will be confirmed either next Saturday or the following Tuesday.

17 Bury 39 -7 45
18 Gillingham 39 -16 45
19 Oldham 39 -12 44
20 Shrewsbury 38 -12 43
21 Port Vale 36 -16 41
22 Swindon 39 -19 36
23 Chesterfield 39 -26 33
24 Coventry 38 -29 26

Our next two games are Port Vale this Tuesday and Bristol Rovers next Saturday. Lose those two and the maximum points we can get is 44 points.

So if Shrewsbury win next week, and Oldham draw we are mathematically down. If they fail to do that, it would just take Port Vale to get a point on the following Tuesday to confirm it.

Our determination and pride in not getting beat easily will see us get enough points. That's the heart speaking mind you. Our form in the 15 games since Shez came back is W7 D4 L4

We've moved our Tuesday game the week after next to next Saturday as both us and MK had our Saturday game postponed.

Results are not too bad today for us. Win Tuesday and we are right on the tails of Oldham, Bury and Gills (who seem to be falling fast) and ahead of Shrewsbury who have a horror run of games in their next three.

Come on Vale we can do this!!!

So its simple from our point of view then.

You win the next two, and we lose the next two, then its confirmed for us.

We've won once Away all season so won't expect three points Tuesday to be honest despite our upturn.

Bizarrely Coventry were one of the best teams we've seen at Vale Park all season, I guess that was their only good game of the season, watch Tuesday be their second.

We have done well at home won 9 but only won 1 away and dont keep clean sheets untill we win an away game somewhere and start keeping clean sheets it will still be tough for us to survive.

I was impressed with Oldham when you came up the vale early season, and you should've beat us at your place, a striker short was my assessment.
The original owd misery guts shez seems to be a good fit for you, coupled with your inability to leave a division in either direction should see you lot ok.
It's us , salop, or gills I reckon.
Could well go to the wire, lots of twists and turns to come for sure.

I'm cocky about us staying up but that probably stems from us always surviving. There will come a time when the trapdoor falls from beneath our feet

They outplayed us in Coventry before being dismantled a few weeks later at our place. We are ridiculously inconsistent but they must be capable of more on their day as well.

Sordell ran the show at our place and we never got near him all afternoon.

We were awful and that was the start of the rot setting in. We never recovered and our long painful slide began from targeting the auto's to going down. We never ever played well again and bar a lucky win the following weekend under Bruno teams had found us out.

Oddly our turnover of players has been massive since then and the side will be very different Tuesday personell wise.

We now officially have the worst defence in the division. We have no fit full backs and only one that may be back before the end of the season.

We have conceded ten goals in the last three games and now one of our two fit centre backs is suspended, forcing us to play a youth player alongside Ehmer.

Our run in is only slightly better than Oldham's but we still have Millwall and Fleetwood to play. Might need a cricket scoreboard.

I would be amazed if we do not find ourselves continuing our rivalries with Swindon next season. At least we can release everyone out of contract at the end of the season and give a few youngsters a chance in League Two.

Everybody saying they look at our run in and fear for us but I'm not that bothered about it. We are notoriously difficult to beat these days. Regardless of the opposition. Considering we are where we are our defence is excellent. I sense a few draws coming out of those 3 home games and maybe even a win

I didn't think he was that good. Few decent moments but nothing too out of the ordinary. It was their Burnley loanee Dan Agyei that bossed the game completely. He was unplayable that day. Looked like a donkey first 5 minutes and then after that, the ball was almost magnetic to his feet and he was brushing our midfielders and defenders off the ball like they weren't even there.

Sad state of affairs to see the predicament Coventry find themselves in now due to poisonous owners with absolutely no positive intentions for the club. Pure greed and self-absorption. Proper warped minds. Decent club like that with a rich history and a decent fanbase should NOT be 17 points from safety at the bottom of the third division.

I reckon it will go to the wire. Coventry gone, Chesterfield gone, Swindon almost gone. The last place between Gillingham and Oldham. Leaning towards Gillingham as they are sinking faster than the titanic.

We've been bobbing along most of the season, not exactly a rapid descent. Been regularly terrible, but still haven't been in the bottom 4, which says a lot for how shit those around us are as well, mostly Bury, Vale and Oldham.
