Troy deeney kicked off the other night in brum because he kept getting hassled and had things threw all night by villa fans. Decent player I will give him that.

I was playing roulette with Bacuna (unbeknownst to me) on Sunday night, I had no idea it was him until some Villa fan boy came up to him and asked for a 'selfie' with him, Bacuna kindly pointed out he wasn't posing for pictures, in a casino, at 3am!!! I overheard said fan saying he thought it was terrible that a player was out in a casino in the early hours and "no wonder we're doing so shit", I couldn't really see his point, young lad, more cash than they know what to do with, not a match day or pre-match day, the fella wasn't actually drinking alcohol (I don't think) just having a flutter with a few of his pals. I almost stepped in and defended him. Likes a bet though, was playing £150 a spin, made my fiver/tenner a spin look rather paltry.

I know they earn too much money but I do think players sometimes get too much stick for enjoying themselves. Night before or after a game fair enough but the fact he was not even drinking says it all. I'd love to know what our players think of our fans, we have some right twats. On Twitter the other day they were slating Bjarnason and he's only just joined us with two games under his belt. We have a poisonous fanbase.

Pissed me off the other week. Michael Kightly scored against us for Burton and some of our "fans" gave him dogs abuse. Kightly was a great player for us and was pivitol to why we made it to the Prem under McCarthy. End of the day he is doing is job, and basing it on that day he is doing his job very well. He didn't even celebrate out of respect to the Wolves fans, but it didn't stop some of our twats giving him shit all game.

would you have kept any of those sacked managers?
McLeish was never going to succeed, got a full season, did shit, so no.

Lambert did alright, was dealt a shit hand, and it was more on Randy's head the shitness of the team than it was Lambert's. Right man, wrong time.

Sherwood was harsh, especially after not signing his own players, but then, the results didn't lie. Sacking a manager after a bad streak of 10(?) games is still incredibly harsh imo, which we'll come onto once again in a second.

Garde, dumped with Sherwood's squad, of which even he had little input, came in, got screwed in January, and once again was sacked. No idea on his ability, but he did look completely lost and devoid of hope from the moment he stepped into the door, but then, Villa will do that to you.

RDM, I myself was pissed with him, but has his sacking made things better? In the short term, yes it did, but now we're back where we were any way. Could he have done what Bruce has done? Probably, but we'll never get to find out. Once again, a manager sacked after a bad run over 10 games.

Then we come to Bruce, who is having a bad run approaching 10 games. Do we get rid of him? Fuck no.

Probably because he was an arrogant bastard who couldn't just come out and say, 'yes, we're shit'.

He seemed absolutely clueless and within a few games it seemed like he wanted out. He was probably dealt a dodgy card in taking the job tbf.

Another 'fun' stat: 12 of the 23 shots on target Johnstone has faced have gone in- more than every other shot on target beats him.

Well watching him in the Spurs game I thought we had a decent keeper, but how wrong was i. Kodjia for how much I like him is a waste of space at times and needs to start realising it's a team effort and not a one man show. The fans are turning and I don't think Bruce knows what to do, I mean all he's doing lately is apologising for the performances. Although we were not playing well at home we was grinding out results but that's completely gone now and it seems we are back to being scared of playing at home. The players don't know what they are doing and Bruce seems to be in shock at the minute. We have a huge deep rooted problem because you cannot call this bad luck. I'm slightly worried and I think Bruce will do well to last the season if we carry on. The players don't seem to want to be here.

I'd genuinely like to know where this problem lies/what the fuck it is.

New owner.
Many new managers.
New staff all round.
New players.
Same old shit.

I honestly cannot put my finger on what's happening. People are saying give it time and let the team settle, fuck me how long do they need to give an half decent account of themselves. We are in relegation form and although I don't believe it will come to that you cannot deny that something is very wrong. How many games have we came away from this season and said, yeah, that was a good performance. Barnsley are an half decent team and the table shows you that but fuck me we were poor tonight.

To be fair, the one thing we've not tried so far is consistency. May as well give it a go, fuck all else has worked, and we've clearly not managed to hit rock bottom yet.

find a formation and find your starting 11 and stick to it. I like Bruce and I still have belief in him but I think he's starting to feel the heat a bit now.

I think a lot has to do with the losing mentality at Villa. Pat Nevin was talking about it this evening. Villa have been used to 'losing' as such for the past half decade. Yes many of the players are different but the losing mentality is still there. When they go 1 down the heads seem to drop and the fans get on their backs. As bad as it sounds maybe you do need to hit rock bottom for this change in mentality to happen. Similar thing happened to us when we had the double relegation from the prem, and going to League 1 was the best thing for us. Winning a few on the bounce down there brought the fans together and the whole posionous atmosphere of the club from recent years was wiped away.

Also on a different note I think you signed way too many players. 4 of your front 5 players against Ipswich (Hourihane, Lansbury, Bjarnason and Hogan) were all signed in the last month, and will need time to gel. It reminds me of when you play football manager and you sign about 10 new players who all look good on paper, but it all goes tits up.

Confidence has hit rock bottom again. We could be down here a bit longer than we thought.

Johnstone is a very good keeper at this level. Those stats are stupid. We had two shots on target and scored both, he could do absolutely nothing with either goal.

As I said to Jase In the THE BOX™, Villa need stability and to show faith in Bruce now. He'll get them where they need to be given time. Everything at the club has changed since they were relegated, the playing staff more than anything, and it'll take time to settle and gel. That's what happens with a major overhaul. You can't just go and buy 16 (?) new players, hire a new manager, and expect it to click, though the clear out is definitely something that needed to be done. The team that went down was one of the worst I've seen both in terms of ability and, more importantly, mentality. It had to be ripped apart to start anew which usually means sacrificing a season while the new team figures itself out. They've now got a squad littered with promotion contending quality players, which is a step up from last seasons team. The talent is there, now the mentality needs to change. So let the manager do his job, find the right balance, and have a go next season when he, and the players, have had time to work with and figure eachother out.

Or sack him and repeat the cycle. Pardew is available...
