Theres no one contracted at the moment because they havent been paid. Dawson, Bunn, Miller, Archer are hanging around although Dawson hasnt really played in the friendlies.

How many players do you actually have registered given that the new season is meant to start in 6 days?

Any idea whether this "missing information" has been delivered to the EFL ahead of midday tommorow (you'd like to think somebody in the Bury office realises the urgency of this)?

No idea and we don't have anybody left working in the offices!

Dawson started at Nantwich and has been injured ever since … some things never change!

So, if either Bury or Bolton can't satisfy the EFL and their opening games are postponed, what happens then? A few more days to come up with the goods or their next games are postponed?

When do the EFL actually pull the plug and cancel the season for one or the other clubs? I have no idea of how this all works.

Haven't they got another hour to prove their financial capability to see the season through? Then the opening games are postponed?

If they can't supply the required paperwork to the EFL that proves they are financially capable of running the club by 5pm, then both Bolton and Bury's opening day fixtures are suspended (to be played at a later day).

After us, Bury's next fixture is 10th August against Accrington. I expect this would also be suspended again until the relevant paperwork/proof is seen.

In the meantime, Bury also have a 14 day deadline which has been running down since Friday. Once that deadline expires (9th August), if things haven't improved, it's increasingly likely Bury would be folded. Bolton's situation seems a bit more complicated with the takeover still progressing apparently but who knows.

Whats the point in postponing the first game. What happens if they can't provide evidence for the 2nd week, then the league cup etc.. When does it stop? Going to get a big pile up of unplayed games. I know its rich coming from a Pompey fan, but we had to play a league cup game with our youth team as we had no professional players in 2012. That whole season we had players on month to month contracts.

That's why the EFL have given a 14 day overall deadline. I can't see them extending it anymore past the 9th August. At most that will mean two, possibly three games potentially suspended for Bury (us and Accrington in the league and Sheffield Weds in the league cup) if things get sorted at the last minute. If things still aren't sorted by 9th August then I think the EFL will expel them from the league.

Ours is slightly different from Bury. Their owner still hasn't provided proof he can fund two years worth of fixtures. Ours have provided that, our issue is around not being able to pay any players so cannot guarantee we can put out 11 players for the first match. When you come out of admin, you have to agree with all creditors (including players) the amount you will pay them, we haven't come out of admin yet so no one is being paid

How can your people have passed the payment criteria if they can't pay the players? Or is it a case of we'll start paying once we own the club?

We are still in admin so our buyers Football Ventures don't own the club yet therefore cannot pay players who are contracted to a club they don't own yet. When FV won the right to be select as preferred owners, they had to provide financial evidence they had the funds (something Bassini never did), but as everything is still in negotiation (the hotel now). To clarify, the sale of thhe club is with one set of administrators and the Hotel a completely different set, so it adds to the complexity

FV would have had to provide the same information as Bury surely? The question is have they and was it satisfactory?

Read above again, they did that, it is the fact that they technically don't own the club yet, so legally cannot pay the players, so we can't guarantee we can put out a full team

No problem, sorry if it came across as a bit frustrated, it's not aimed at you or anyone on here, you just get to a point where the situation gets you down

My gut feeling is that our game with Bury has been suspended - our club's social media accounts have been quiet for the last 4 hours since 3pm which isn't normal unless it's some kind of announcement (e.g. a player signing). So either we've signed someone or they're writing some kind of press release for the Bury game being suspended.

This is terrible for all north west clubs losing bury and Bolton off tranmeres fixtures will cost us over 100k in lost revenue

Accy will lose 2 full houses in all probability as well. This is money clubs will have budgeted for.

Burys game is off, Boltons is on.

Sad times, no idea what the Bury owner is sniffing.

Find it absolutely amazing that out of everybody involved at the top at Bury, not one of them took any kind of grip of this and managed to provide the EFL with what they wanted. Makes you think that the situation must be extremely dire there to the point that there really isn't anything left financially to fund the season.

Maybe they really have run out of pennies and there isn't anything more left apart from selling the club, which Dale seems to refuse to do. Even if he did, would anybody be interested at this late stage.

How can we possibly turn this around now?

We have no money and an owner that is seemingly unwilling to sell a dying club.

Good luck to all wander fans (you never thought I say that did you)
Good luck to the rest of you,
We will officially die on Wednesday at the winding up hearing as if we cannot satisfy the EFL we have funds the taxman will surely contest the CVA
It's been a long hard road but thats the life of a lower league small club fan.
Up the 1885 Bury
