In an embarrasing display of pure tinpottery, Lincoln are reducing ticket prices for this match to celebrate Cowley's birthday. What next, a commemorative DVD of Matt Rhead's top 100 dives? Well they've clearly chosen the right match if they want to encourage a bumper Tuesday night crowd. We're going to get beaten so bad that we'll start our next game on -5 goals. Does football have a mercy rule?

You have my deepest sympathy ,bet all the local yokels will bring him gifts and cards and even sing happy birthday to the new messiah it could be the most cringworthy match in the history of football ,obviously not lincolns history cos that only goes back four years

In normal circumstances I'd have us to win this one pretty easily. However, with the red card and a mini injury crisis we'll be struggling to field a decent midfield unless Freck or O'Connor are back. My biggest worry will be our fitness after playing 70 minutes with 11 men. In the last Tuesday game in the league against Tranmere our players looked knackered after 60 minutes. If we go in ahead at half time I'll be confident.

With our overall away form, I think on another day we’d be competitive. We probably wouldn’t win but we’d make it a contest and make them work for their win.

However with half of our squad missing through injury, only 3 fit defenders (2 of which aren’t very good defenders) and a useless tub of lard attempting to play up front for us, I can only see a real hammering by 4 or 5 goals.

Credit to Lincoln, their start to the season has been incredible. No way did I see them being title contenders at the start of the season, but they’ve proved me wrong and are looking like running away with it.

Prediction:
Lincoln City 5-0 Carlisle Ushited

Didn't you guys announce your chairman John Radford as the man of the match in one of your games?

The circus are in the City for this one, and I don't mean Carlisle, hence the £10 a ticket. I'll not be there cos midweek's don't often happen for me.

With O'Connor and Frecklington likely to be out, and a suspension appeal pending, we could potentially end up with a CB partnering Pett in central midfield, or move Bostwick in there (we did both yesterday) which wouldn't be ideal.

The only saving grace is that all other positions are fit and fairly well covered but central midfield is an important part of any side.

Doubt we'll see Shackell either.

With Colchester on Saturday, we need to be winning this off the back of yesterday's poor result (or good depending on how you look at it).

He'll be blowing out the candles on his cake at half time, although he'll need to be careful to avoid a strong enough blow that Matt Rhead goes down and claims for a penalty.

He'll be after some additional presents- he has blown all his birthday money on the post match comments yesterday.

Yes- must be awful to have a manager you believe in, the club believes in, the whole city believes in.

Remind me when you find one and we can compare :)

Think I read this one is available on iFollow in the UK (?) and was contemplating watching it, but there’s little point as we’re gonna get pummelled. I’m not as ultra negative as some about our chances this season, but with injuries building up and needing to bring in the young lads to make up the numbers, this will be our first real hammering.

4-1 or 5-1

They seem to be getting all mid weeks games on iFollow at the moment- whilst I don't think iFollow affects the home gate (or rather the home end), the jury is still out on away followers. Last iFollow game available was 10 days ago at Vale (when all Saturday games were on iFollow)- could be lots of reason for the lower following but we took 300 less to Vale Park than the same game last year...which wasn't on iFollow.

Not sure it will be a hammering to be honest- we swing both ways. Have ground out some very tough results (Bury, Northampton, Crawley) and then played exceptionally well in a few games (Notts C, Swindon, Exeter, Vale).

Carlisle are playing well away from home and we are currently playing better away than at home - will be a good game and looking forward to it.

That's been the case all season. The embargo only applies now to Saturday at 3pm on days when the Premier League are playing, so all weeknight games and games during international breaks will be on ifollow.

I wouldn't go so far as to we are playing well away from home. We're doing above average away from home with smash-and-grab tactics, but we did then go and lose to Macclesfield.

Oh no not Lincoln and their fucking air raid siren, if you go up this season then you have to get rid of it or you will be mocked to shit in L1. As embarrassing as it is you can still get away with it down here but up there, no, no chance.

In the Morecambe game, one of our fans, who I've not seen before, turned up with a bell.

I blame him for our defeat, was it you?

Hoping for a decent game, was last season.
Remember the 6 2 game way back in 1991 when Lormor got 4, no plastic fans only 2333 that day.
Been some high scoring games over the years

Whatever the reason, stadium will be sold out tomorrow night- less than 100 tickets left now.

Anyone else playing in front of a sell out crowd tomorrow night?

I remember that, although the one that sticks in my memory (vaguely) was the first season of KA’s second spell - didn’t Carlisle go down to 9-men and still beat us?

Whenever I think Sincil Bank, I just think of the time our chairman assaulted one of the stewards.
