Love the way Southgate has completely buried the U21 tournament by saying Rashford shouldn't be there as he's progressed to senior level and had a season of top bracket football.

I love that because it was only a few years ago Southgate was crying because he wanted to take Wilshere, Barkley, Smalling and Oxlade-Chamberlain to his U21 tournemant.

That does scream yes man a bit don't it

Thats exactly what Southgate is a yes man to the FA`s wishes. And it disgusts me. We have gone back to the time before Alf Ramsey where the FA Council pick the team and the manager takes the media flack.

Now Big Sam on the other hand strikes me as the type of guy would tell the FA to go f*** themselves....

Exactly mate! I hate that the England managers have been yes man after yes man it's disgraceful! Hodgson was the same! I agree with you mate Big Sam wouldn't take shit from them and I wonder sometimes if the FA set him up but that's just a thought. The only good thing Southgate has done is dropping Rooney but any manager with any sense would've done that.

The FA are a joke who know nothing about football otherwise they wouldn't have appointed Southgate a manager who go relegated with Middlesbrough ffs but he somehow good enough for the England managers job, the pinnacle job of any English managers career.

English managers are fucking shit and way out of their depth with the current players we have. The FA main priority in appointing a manager is that he has to be English even though that manager has never achieved anything in his life. We needed a top foreign coach who has managed or played in the premiership before that understands english football. Somebody like Roberto Mancini ect.

Wales got to the semi finals of a major tournament with Chris Coleman as manager and three English goal scorers against Belgium in the quarter finals. We have bigger problems than personnel.

It's a slightly odd squad this. 4 keepers (including Forster?), a skip load of full backs, and Livermore as about the only conventional midfielder.
