I liked Alien 3 as well Craig. I think I might even like it more than Aliens. Is that sacrilege?

Not particularly looking forward to Covenant, but will probably see it opening weekend like the dope I am.

Took the Mrs to see Beauty and the Beast.

Honestly it was fucking awful, I never liked the story anyway but Emma Watson singing ruined it even more. It's just an elaborate story about Satan from South Park who rocks up and Emma Watson develops Stockholm Syndrome. 4/10.

The Double (2011)
A dull political thriller starring Richard Gere,i sussed out the ending after about 30 minutes but stayed until the end to see if i was right and yep i was spot on. 4.5/10.

Green Room
Was loads of fun.
Well acted, gory and a neo-nazi Patrick Stewart. Would watch again. 7.5/10.

Insidious (2011)
Some scary moments in this horror film but with laugh out moments too. 8/10.
Insidious Chapter 2 (2013)
Not as good as the first film but i still jumped a few times  7/10.
Insidious Chapter 3 (2015)
Total crap and having a different director didn't help. 3/10.

Kill The Irishman (2011)
Based on a true story about Danny Greene who took on The Mafia in 1970's Cleveland. I imagine this went straight to dvd and deserves only 5/10 as it was a disjointed film that Val Kilmer and Christopher Walken couldn't rescue.

I love the first Insidious. The creature at the end was ridiculous but the whole film was incredibly watchable and scary in places. The mannequins in the further creeped me out.

I was very impressed with the 2nd film. I feared it would flop but I thought it did a very good job of expanding on the story in the first, plus I liked the origins of the Bride character. I thought Patrick Wilson played the transformation very well also.

The 3rd one wasn't as good but with a new cast and a look at the backstory, it was never going to feel anything other than much of the same. I'd have given it around a 5 as it did have some good moments. No doubt Insidious 4 will be similar.

I liked Insidious to start with, until Darth Maul rocked up on a typewriter then I got fed up.

I actually preferred the third one to the other 2.

The Siege (1988)
Laughable film with Denzel Washington and Bruce Willis with various agencies trying to catch islamic terrorists, all i kept hearing was "I'm a patriot" and " i love my country" and all the other cliched bollocks we usually see in these type of films. 5.5/10.

Fast & Furious 8 (a.k.a The Fate of The Furious) - 10/10

Better film than your favourite film - I type this in a state of speechlessness and with a tear in both eyes.

Vincent Diesel and Dwayne 'The Brahma Bull' Johnson are (predictably) imperious, Jason Statham is on top form, there's two people from Game of Thrones in it, Ludacris and Tyrese have some tremendous banter throughout, another touching tribute to the late great Paul Walker. Michelle Rodriguez (or maybe just the character, Letty, can't tell anymore) is still terrible but you can't have it all.

Easter times, great date to watch Monty Python’s Life of Brian (1979). A great satire of the most symbolic character of bible. Good laughs with smart criticisms about religion. Always a 10/10.

The Wee Man ( 2013)
A very good film based on the true story of ex Glasgow gangster Paul Ferris starring Martin Compston. Lots of claret and violence throughout which was hardly surprising since the film was set between 1974 and 1990. 8/10.

Harry Brown (2009)
Michael Caine plays a pensioner who becomes a vigilante after his old friend is murdered by local yobs. This was much better than i thought it would be after a slow start the Harry goes on the frampage, lots of blood and a few laughs made this a very good film. 8/10.

Starting with the London riots of 2011 the film concentrates on the social conditions of some of the people involved including one with a remarkable singing ability. 8/10

Windtalkers (2002)
One of Nicolas Cage's better films where he plays a marine protecting a Navajo Indian used to relay messages in Saipan in WWII.Some great action scenes but what put a downer on the film was the acting of Christian Slater as he was awful as usual. 8/10.

Jim Caveziel is Dennis Quaids son and they speak to each other through time using a broadcasting radio during an aurelia borealis occurence in New York to stop a serial murderer from killing his mum. was actually pretty good to watch, with aspects of Butterfly Effect and was a solid 7/10

The Last Witch Finder (2015)
Bloody awful film but i should have known better than watching a film with Vin Diesel in it :ffs: And what was Michael Caine thinking taking a role in this? It's not like he needs the money. 4/10.

Mirrors (2008)
Decent enough horror film starring Kiefer Sutherland. Ghosts appear in mirrors of a burnt out department store that's been empty for years where his character is a security guard. Some jump/scary moments with some horrific deaths but one had me :fl: It was that funny, just a shame about the predictable ending. 7.5/10.

Why are there xenomorphs in a Prometheus movie?

A woman and daughter move into a house where a family was murdered, the girl finds an ugly doll and becomes possessed. Started of quite well with some creepy moments then turned into a comedy wether intentional or not,6/10 for the :fl:'s.
