Nah. Defence is shit but it always has been. More confident going forward this year. We'll have some shockers but expect us to have a similar finish to last.

Yup. We're going nowhere this season. Hopefully next season we'll storm the league though. But, this is Aston Villa we're talking about, we do NOT do things the easy way.

It's not over yet but I genuinely don't think we are ready yet and will be in much better shape next season. The thing is do you gamble on that way of thinking. If we never went up next season that would be bad news.

Well the parachute payments essentially dry up if we fail next season, we still get a bit (about £7million or so I think) but yeah. We are throwing everything at it this month apparently, so clearly we want immediate promotion. Don't see it happening myself, but we shall see.

that's the time to worry if we fail next season. The next month will give us a clearer idea.
