This was tonight's dinner, bloody lovely..

Thai Green chicken curry, made the paste myself but it was a bit hot so calmed it down with extra coconut cream. Not entirely healthy, but bollocks to that.

Tonight's dinner was moose burger with chips and salad. As a treat, the cook offered a couple of slices of (ethically sourced) smoked bear. Both were delicious and benefitted greatly from lashings of lingonberry sauce.

Top end of Norway - started near Russian border on the Pasvikelva River, now round at a beautiful place called Kongsfjord after a boat round the top from Kirkeness. Last night's treat was Atlantic Redfish (most of the wildlidlife round here also eats fish) with boiled potatoes, carrot and swede. Don't know what tonight's surprise will be.

Had some sausages left over from the barbie yesterday and given it's a bit gloomy, comfort food need so a toad in the hole was in order...

tried a local takeaway last night for the first time (got a menu through the door earlier in the day). Wife had a chicken bhiryani and I went for an Italiano pizza pepperoni, salami, sliced toms covered with melted cheese....and chips. Pizza was a 12" and fucking delicious but next time I'll get a smaller one as I had to leave a segment.

No fannying around tonight., bacon, egg and Cumberland sausage sarnies, with lashings of HP sauce. Hit the spot.

New teeth day, so my wife made me a beef/bacon & egg burger for lunch which tasted delicious after almost 3 months of soups, and squished up everything else.

Finally took the plunge and went for my first Nando's yesterday. Was a tough choice between the chicken and the chicken so in the end I just went for the chicken.

My first and only Nando's was at Finsbury Park, after a Bob Dylan/Christy Moore concert.

No dead chickens were involved...............apparently you can ask for hummus!
