How Easy Was The Ground to Get To (from the station, by car, etc)
Little bit tricky, especially for away fans who don't know the area. It is literally at the top of a hill, so as you can imagine the access roads are pretty poor. There is on site parking, but this is full a hour before kick off every game. You can also park at the local school car parking. Both car parks are £4.00. If (like me) you refuse to pay for parking apart from extreme circumstances, then you might get lucky and get a space in the local housing estates.
If Applicable, How is Parking Near The Ground?
Explained Above.
Based on Where You Were Sat, How Was the View?
Been supporting FGR since 2006(when new stadium opened). There isn't a bad view in the house generally speaking. Every stand is close to the pitch and you get a good unrestricted view. Behind both goals is standing, which again is excellent for viewing angles ect.
If You Ate at The Ground, How Would You Rate the Food?
FGR is very different to every other club in the world. Organic pitch ect. This extends to the food menu, where NO red meat, white meat or fish is on the menu. 100% Vegan club, the food is actually excellent. Makes a change from the usual overpriced food at football games. Definitely worth a try, if you don't like it, you can just get some chips!
How Was The Atmosphere At The Ground, From Both Sets of Supporters? Does the Stadium Hold the Noise?
It's not too dissimilar to most national league games. Not the loudest of stadiums, but has a great atmosphere for local derby's or important games. Acoustics of the ground are excellent aswell.
How Are the Pubs and Local Attractions in The Local Area?
Again, its tough due to the location of the ground. There are pubs at the bottom of the hill, but please note this is a gruelling 20 minute walk back up the hill!
The facilities of the stadium are excellent, it has electric turnstiles, you can use your mobile phone to get into the ground. Tickets can be bought online in advance of the game.
Overall Score Out of 10?
Obviously i'm biased, but i think its a great stadium. Not a bad size for the standard, and most visiting fans have a pleasant experience at FGR
