I'd rather see Jinder Mahal have a run with the title than have to sit through another boring Orton reign.

Aye that's to win the match not the title though isn't it? I call shenanigans with Jinder winning by DQ, though how nice would it be to see the Mararaja slay that pesky snake and claim the biggest prize in WWE.

Thought the entire show was fantastic. Though yeah, Bate/Dunne was incredible stuff. Only 42 years between the two of them in terms of age but they killed it... both have got very bright futures ahead of them. I must admit, I never watched the UK stuff so it's the first time I've really watched them both... safe to say I'll be trying to see more of them in future! They were both great, but I fucking loved watching Dunne in particular. It feels like he doesn't waste a second in the ring, he's constantly thinking about how to make every single second look as painful as possible. Digging his fists into ribs, bending fingers... genuinely looks painful as fuck to be in the ring with

The ladder match was great too, but with it going on last you knew it was either a second tag title win for DIY or the end for them... god damn it Ciampa :(

BTW, is it just me, or did everybody always know that when they split up, it was only ever going to be Ciampa turning on Gargano and not the other way around? There are just certain tag teams where you can always tell which one is going to be a dick at the end of any tag team run. Like, we all know that one day Cass is gonna turn on Enzo. That's fucking given.

I very nearly missed the turn from Ciampa, when the credit banner popped up I went to turn the network off, thank God my Xbox controllers batteries had died! I can't get over Bate and Dunne still, what an absolute stormer of a match that was, and they're still kids ffs! The match had quite literally everything you could want, but if the Yanks could not chant UK again that would be great :bg: Only thing I didn't like was the ending to the women's match, ok have Asuka pin one of them but not both, makes them look weak as fuck especially when all they've done lately is build her up to be a chickenshit heel.

Oh and Oaf, you just know that Enzo is going to try and turn on Cass, and he'll just end up getting flattened, it's the only way they should do that just to stick with their bonkers logic when it comes to booking.

Can't wait for the Mararajah to squash Boreton now, just so the IWC explodes in a hail of grease and neckbeard pubes

I can't believe Jinder Mahal is the actual champion.

Thought putting him in title picture made sense didn't think they'd go all the way.

I'm surprised to see so many wrestling fans shocked by the result. With the heat Jinder Mahal has been getting lately it was obvious that they were going to capitalise on that and make the decision they did. Hopefully he takes the chance and runs with it now.

You know what? I know I got all dramatic and changed my Avatar and whatever, but all joking aside...

I think now that it's happened, I'm actually far more OK with this than I anticipated I would be. A lot of it has to do with what I read/heard in the build up. I saw some convincing arguments for Jinder winning, the main one being that a shock Jinder win is still more exciting than a boring Orton reign... and hell, I agree. A million times over, I agree. Plus that Indian market makes a lot of sense to tap into... if they can get them on board without having to use fucking Khali to do it, I'm fine with that.

And secondly, I listened to him on Talk is Jericho, and he came across as a really decent bloke. Listening to how shit it was in 3MB and how he got his life back together, got back to WWE and got to where he is now, fuck it, good on him.

I guess these moments always just come as a shock. When we see the likes of the shield come in the way they did, or Owens come in and beat Cena right off of the bat, you know these guys are going to be world champions one day. Like, now, you could say the same for Nakamura. He's not been a champion yet, but when he does get it (and surely he will) it won't be a shock at all.
It's just when we see people actually pop up after a long time low on the card, without using money in the bank, we get surprised. Because wrestlers are so prone to getting stuck in a mid card slot that we never really envisage them doing anything more. I'm still shocked at the sheer fact that Jinder is the champion... but it reminds me a lot of when Eddie Guerrero won the title. Granted, Eddie was a heck of a lot more talented, but at the time I was still only a couple years into wrestling and, to me, everybody had their spot and stuck there... people didn't really tend to climb up the card like that. And for Eddie, I always saw him as a decent midcard/tag team dude... so couldn't believe it when he won the title. Same goes for others. Back in the APA days, who ever thought Bradshaw would win the title? Or Jeff Hardy? Or Jack Swagger? Or Edge (back when MitB was new)? All of those had me in a sense of disbelief because you don't ever really see them making it there. And, for the most part, they all did ok out of it. Yeah, ignore Swagger there. Sorry Jack.

I tell you what though, I hate the fact that LR isn't on here for this moment. As much as I hate that his 1FF Wars had to end, I still hate the fact that he's not here for this even more.

Mojo Rawley.
Yeah, yeah… I can see it now. Mojo vs. Jinder, champion vs. champion to reunify the titles at WM34. The rest of the IWC in the pits of self-loathing and despair, and you the sole voice of chirpiness, telling us you’re cool with it because Mojo seemed nice on Jericho’s podcast, or offering other asinine justifications like “well, at least it’s something different”.

I’ve given you a lot of leeway over the years, Oaf. God help me, there were times when I almost envied your positivity. But, following this U-turn vis-à-vis Jinder, it’s now very clear to me: you just have no standards.

To be fair, I merely said I'm more ok with it than I thought I would be... I'm not exactly singing his praises. And while yeah, I'd take this over Orton, don't think I wouldn't be fully behind an AJ Styles or whatever if they were next to get a shot at the title. I'd probably take half of the roster over him, still. At the moment, he's simply better/more interesting than what came before. I'm willing to give him a chance and hope he can surprise me. But I sat watching the main event of Smackdown earlier I spent most of it taking the piss out of how those four guys (THOSE four guys!) are on a show where they're underneath Jinder Mahal right now. He's still the butt of jokes for me, champion or not. I would like to think that it doesn't need pointing out, but yes, the change of Avatar and my very first comment about Jinder winning the title were JUST A LITTLE FUCKING BIT of a parody and not reflective of my true feelings on the matter.

Besides, even if I had suddenly actually actually become a Jinder fan, I'd never be able to admit it on here in case LR ever saw it

Jinder winning is so similar to when they had JBL win back in 2004, people crapped all over him as champion but it is nice that the WWE are actually trying something new, and not going for the same old same old. Granted, i would of liked to have seen Orton vs. Styles for the title but i am sure that will come down the line, Orton doesnt need the title. Think this will either make or complete break Jinder.

With Extreme Rules happening later with Finn Balor probably winning the main event, does anyone else think he's overrated? I remember reading about him before he joined WWE and was excited to see him in NXT. I just feel really underwhelmed. He's not rubbish in the ring by any means but I can't remember a great match he's been in (granted I don't watch WWE as much as I used to) and he's not exactly great on the mic either. The only thing going for him is that he's lucky enough to be tapping Cathy Kelley. Fair play to him for that.

At first I thought he was nothing beyond a gimmicky entrance but I really warmed to him after a while and rate him quite highly now.

I do agree that his promos are underwhelming, though.

Yeah, I've been saying the same since he first showed up regarding Balor. I still don't get him, awesome entrance aside. Absolutely fine, if not fantastic, in the ring and bang average mic skills... yet people talk about him as if he's the best thing going, and WWE seem to rate him the same too with the push they gave him when he first showed up. Maybe he'll convince me at Extreme Rules. But I seem to say that going into all of his matches.

I quite liked Extreme Rules. Bayley & Bliss was poor and the mixed tag came across as filler, but the rest of the card was pretty good. Loved Bray in the 5 way and was genuinely surprised at Joe winning. Thought Rollins had done his knee in again after the frog splash to the table but he seemed ok afterwards.

Yeah decent PPV, thought the women's title match made Bayley look weak again. The last match was great and actually really happy with Joe winning. It'll be interesting how they play it out.

So WWE have had a change of heart regarding the Great Balls of Fire logo.

The original, phallic version...

The new, PG version...

Fans were even booing Bayley, how can anyone get behind someone too wimpy to swing a kendo stick?

The Bayley stuff was a total mess. Either have her refuse to use the stick and try to win by wrestling, use it and regret having to do so, or use it and secretly like it, like when a bullied kid fights back and goes too far
